More planning fabness! I'm a bit delirious, typing with paint under my fingernails, but I'm clear headed enough to appreciate the way your wardrobe functions so well for you. There is enough brightness for me -- energy in the patterns, and lightness in the whites and lights, to make more color unnecessary. Can't wait to see the new shoes!

I think that patterned and beautifully coloured ankle pants are absolutely perfect for your job, your climate, your figure, and your foot needs. They are a great invention for you. Plus, they are fun! (Said by a huge patterned pants lover.)

This looks like a versatile and easy to wear capsule that will leave you always feeling put together. Like Aida, I prefer the short pans with shorter toppers for proportions (vs. the longer sweaters). I like that you have both blouses and sweaters for the different kinds of weather conditions you might face in a transitional season.

Thanks, Olivegreen! I'm glad you don't find it boring. I do wonder if it gets monotonous for others at times.

Thanks, Mellllls and Rachylou!

AM, thanks so much! I find white difficult as well these days. With my dark hair and intentional suntanning avoidance, I can look ghostly (or is that ghastly) in a bright white. Both of these blouses are a soft white that i think is kinder to my complexion. I will PM you my boards from last Spring and Fall. I haven't done them this year. If I have them in dropbox, I will do it in a few minutes. If not, will do it from the office tomorrow.

Saw this earlier in the day but I wanted to come back to it when I had more time. You really have a signature look and that is very appealing to me. I can't wait to see your PPT slide (or one for every season) on this.

Board #2 (the first outfit board): Your solids are very appealing but I also enjoy the prints you've chosen. Pink works wonderfully on you. And you also look stunning in a white blouse. So jealous. I feel washed out with white next to my light hair.

Board 3# (second outfit board): I prefer first and last outfit on top row. And last on bottom row (and this is my absolute favorite - and great shoe). All of these are super strong but just wanted to give you my fav's. Love a long cardi on you.

Last Board: 1st and 2nd outfits on the first row. My favs. You really look good in white and that pink which is so clear. They both have a wonderful vibrancy and crispness to them.

Overall, I can't wait to do this when the weather warms up! Again, so inspiring. And I'm just thinking now...do you wear dresses or skirts?

Oops, cross-posted!

Lyn67, thanks! I've been wearing ankle pants for 5-6 years, but I never really understood what the length should actually be until Angie and her PPL wisdom. So glad you like the combo with the blouses. The Pleione blouses are so easy and breezy for whatever my day may hold.

Thank you, Windchime! Nothing beats a white blouse for me, especially when my pants are so crazy. They get quite a bit of wear. The sleeveless one is starting to show some wear. This may be the one item I really need to replace this year.

Aida, I love the idea of wearing the ivory pants with the white top and black sweater! I have tossed those pants in the car to go to the tailor. They're about 3 years old, and they hit just at the bottom of my ankle. Back when I could wear heels, this looked good. Now that I'm a flats girl, I think I'll have them hemmed to hit a couple inches above the ankle. The pants hem you don't like is likely a by-product of these extra pounds I have at the moment. Several of my pants were tighter than I like. Hopefully this will resolve itself shortly!

Thanks, Summer! Even though it's kind of a pain to do this, It helps me immensely throught the season. I keep printouts of the slides in my closet. These essentially become FFBOs for the days I just have no time.

Thanks, Carole. Even though I wasn't planning to buy anything for work this year, I could not leave those pants in the store! They'll be fun all Summer with my colorful blouses.

Love all those "crazy" pants!:-) And the ankle lengths are feeling so fresh to my eyes-did you bought them before the trend, too? My fave is the black and white checkered one. And your formula with the blouses is trully your signiture look, plus you have some great sweaters and toppers(esp love the dramatic longer ones).

Thanks, Rute! This is a bit of a mish mash of a capsule, but I put enough work in to remind myself that I have plenty and don't need anything else:-)

Thanks, MG. If ankle pants ever go out of style, I'm just going to have to go with them. I love that they let me show off my shoes and be less corporate than the dress code I lived with for years.

Thanks, Sadie! In Fall and Winter, my work wardrobe tends to be almost all neutral, and the color is in my casual wardrobe. Spring and Summer is completely opposite. I wonder why that is? Did you enjoy your evening?

The soft neutral tops work quite nicely with the fun pants, I don't think you need to worry too much about what you've got if it feels like enough. I particularly like #3 and #5 out of the cropped pants set.

In the second set, I much prefer the shorter toppers with the cropped pants; they look good with the full length pants as in #2, and with the lower contrast column beneath (like #6 and #7). Try swapping out the pants in #4 with white pants for me :D

Sweater group looks great. The only there I have reservations about is #4. Could just be the angle, but I'm not digging the hem shape and where it lands; the hem in #5 is much more flattering.

(I just realized I didn't explain how I was counting! Across the top 1,2,3,4, then the bottom 5,6,7).
