In your case, if you want them for summer, you'd want a pastel/white/cream so that the contrast between your exposed leg and the sneakers is minimal. (I think that is how Angie is defining contrast levels).&nbsp;Lighter sneakers are also more summery. I tend to wear mine more in autumn/winter/spring so go for a darker sneaker.&nbsp;</p> <p>Have you asked your peanut gallery for suggestions? They blend into jeans, which for me, has been the easiest way to wear them. As I become more comfortable and familiar with a new style, I'll wear them with crops, shorts and skirts. I also have sneakers in a few different colours, which I also love wearing for a fun pop of colour.&nbsp;</p> <p>I wouldn't have thought "bowling shoes" when looking at these ones, but they also don't strike me as being particularly "current". They certainly look comfortable though, and that could also make them a worthwhile purchase. I have purchased and returned for a variety of reasons all of these:<br />&nbsp;-&nbsp;red cons, white keds, gold gap, DCs, aqua vans, purple adidas.<br />I now have these Josef Seibel grey leather sneakers. (pic 1, 2). The fit is quite good. &nbsp;<br />Of course the peanut gallery thinks they look like bowling shoes but they can be gracefully ignored.<br />What do you ladies think? Are they a good option? Would the caspians be better?&nbsp;(pic 3).</p>
