The arch support I got from them was pretty good, and I have some freakishly high arches. I went into a new-to-me consignment shop to see what they had. It. Was. A. Disaster. Zone.<br /> Like, seriously, it was a mess. I wish I had pics, but I just didn't think of it at the time. It wound up being worth the effort to quickly do my thing and give the racks a once over.</p> <p>I scored a cute pair of Steven by Steven Madden pumps for $2 (pic 1). They had never been worn. I went back over the shoes again, and I am so stinking glad I did because </p> <p>lo and behold, a pair of Manolos IN MY EXACT SIZE for $8.99. Manolos for $9? Thank you! (Pics 2-4). I scored a pair of NWT gap velvet skinnies for $2 and a pair of 7FAM jeans for $16.99 (pic 5).</p> <p>Life doesn't get much better than that, right? Yet it does, apparently. I was out shopping for "dress pants" for my new job (same position, different store). Their idea of dress pants is actually uber casual. Chinos and khakis. Their definition of dress pants is having a button/zip fly in front. I was not happy that most of my work pants now have to go in the donate bin, but whatever, I'm a savvy shopper. So I hit up JCPenney and got a pair of navy blue straight leg chinos that is actually a slim straight, and a pair of uber wide leg khakis for like twenty dollars total. Then I hit up belk, because Belk is the kind of store that should have pants that meet the store manager's definition of appropriate, right? Except I found more fun pants than actual work pants, but they were all on deep clearance so I bought them. A pair of tencel joggers with a rhinestone tuxedo stripe down the legs, a pair of charcoal/black knit cropped wide leg pants in a very cozy fabric that actually hit me at a length i.liked (hard for me in a crop pant because of my inseam, I have a feeling that they are hitting me higher on my calf than they do a lot of women), and one pair of skinnies from the junior department that will function for work. However, when I went into the dressing room to try on all 47466274949 pairs of pants I had pulled, i spied a black top that looked interesting just lying there forlornly discarded by some other shopper. It was an Eileen Fisher, and it fit well and the fabric was a nice tencel. I decided WTH, YOLO, I love it, let's get it. It rang up for $31. Pic 6 is the grey version of the top I scored.</p> <p>Ladies, I'm going to quit while I'm ahead. I'm also going to stop and buy a lottery ticket on my way home from my 12 step meeting. </p>
