If you like dressier versions, including safari styles and lined jackets, Banana Republic had a couple of great jackets this summer, including a great brown linen that was too shortwaisted for me . Coldwater Creek also has utility/ safari styles- run boxy but sometimes less so and could work in petites/ small. I like EB too- still wearing one of theirs, but haven't liked any recent versions. More options in summer, I think , though now may be in sale section of all the on- line shops.

I love Shiny's! And yes, that's Ann Taylor Loft. Unfortunately they're not carrying that jacket or anything similar currently.

Shiny, also a petite, posted a couple photos of hers in my pencil skirt thread, they're down toward the bottom of the thread. She said it is ATL but I'm not sure what that is - Ann Taylor Loft maybe?

Angie's recent blog post really hit home, because I have been searching for a utility jacket for the last few years. I have tried ones from Gap, Old Navy, Eddie Bauer, and a few other places, but none of them have worked, even though this is SO my style. My problem is, I am petite, busty, broad shouldered and short waisted. So, the jackets with epaulets on the shoulders or big chest pockets (most seem to have one or the other!) don't usually work for me. Also, I prefer them somewhat fitter or with a cinched waist (rather than belted) - too boxy and they seem to overwhelm my small frame.

If anyone has suggestions, I'm all ears!
