I have no helpful suggestions, as I also find pants so challenging! I love the vibe of those though, so I am crossing fingers for you for some good workable options. I hear you on availability too — so often when I finally see a combination of style and color I like, I click through to see that my size(s) are sold out.

I hope you’re doing ok! Sending continued good vibes.

Thanks for the suggestions, everyone!

I have so far sized up on a pair of BR pants that I like a lot. They're not flowy, but the tapered look is a bit more current than some of my old "office" pants. The picture with this find does not really show the shape.

The order I placed with Marks and Spencer got lost, and while they invited me to re-order, they didn't offer the original discount I had gotten because their sale was over :/ Maybe that's a British versus American thing, but it put me off a bit, and I'll wait for a sale. (ETA - looks like there is a sale again, so I may re-order.) I have another Madewell pair on order, but they will be too lightweight for deep winter and I need to keep an eye out for warmer pants. I have also ordered a few pairs from BR Factory.

I am thinking of Talbots next, Sheryl. I have recently cleaned BR out of knits, though, so I should probably hold off till after the holidays. Blah. BR also has another option I want, that's on backorder till Feb.

Hope you're doing better these days. Have you considered ASOS (free international shipping above a certain amount)? I've found their Hourglass & Fuller Bust lines in particular useful for clothing that stretches in all the right places but also doesn't gape.

PS - I'm a UK14 down below, so sometimes I will have to sift through both their straight or plus sizes (depending on the brand in question) to find what I need.

Happy to see you back on the forum, Christina! You may want to take a look at Liverpool Jeans. They have well-made and very comfortable ponte knit pants, although the slimmer cut may not be what you are seeking right now. They also have a wide leg pull-on trouser, but only available in black.

Suntiger, everything at LOFT has been sold out in my size or is a skinny cut. They have lots of skinnies right now. Frustrating, as usually they are reliable. Maybe they’ve underestimated demand for non-skinny pants. I’ll check out the others, thanks!

LaPed, I do not always get the magic intersection of correct size and a color I like at Madewell. They are a good option, but looks like I need to order pants I want to try the day they're released on the website, basically. If I wait for a sale, they sell out in my size, though sometimes they do pop back.

Angie, it's okay, I'm at peace with the crease!

I was going to suggest Madewell! They've been adding more and more curvy cuts (trousers and skirts, not just denim). And I've found a lot of their wider styles to be curve-friendly and ridiculously comfortable. Those pleat pants look great.

cat2, I used to shop there all the time for work pants in the early 00's! (The Editor pant, etc.) Funny that I have forgotten about them now, but I always do forget them. Thanks!

These just arrived, and they are drapy and fluid enough to be satisfying. They do not constrict. They are a nice shade of dark green. They could use slight taking in at the waist, which is fine, but then again they leave me more room to tuck knits as is. So one pair of pants down! I will do a more comprehensive post once I've evaluated more options.

Express usually has a couple of styles of curvy pants that are office appropriate. Look for the Curvy Bottoms tab. I found them when my usual retailers were doing slim cuts.

Try Talbots, Ralph Lauren, Calvin Klein, Universal Standard, M.M. La Fleur, J.Jill, Charter Club, Marks & Spencer, and Athleta for the fit you are looking for.

Try Pilcro at Anthropologie too. Everlane has sizes 14/16, and are always worth a look.

approprio- I did check there and wasn’t finding the right size and color sweet spot, but I’ll keep checking as I believe they restock items. Thanks!

Stagiaire - precisely. I’m on the edge of non-straight sizing here and it’s a place where offerings tend to be thin. Very frustrating. I’m sure the current supply chain issues aren’t helping with availability. Everything is getting snapped up. I’m going to have to start looking at when new pieces drop and stop holding out for sale prices. I see that approprio added a comment understanding this. Thanks both!

Those super-wide legs are so awesome!

Aproprio, UK size 16 is a couple sizes smaller than US 16. https://www.apparelnbags.com/u.....-chart.htm US size 14-16 tends to be where most clothing manufacturers put their great divide between two product lines for women.

Thanks to spotty internet I can’t get at links just now, but look for my post about gigantic pants. If those Uniqlo U trews are still available, they might work for you. I’m currently around a UK size 16 and I bought size XL. They run large on me, which is how I like them, and are fabulous for the price.

Hey all, I'm going back to the office twice a week, as of next month. (This is omicron dependent, but I think here in NYC there is a momentum towards cautious returns to routine.)

I'd really love some fabulous pants, like pants in this find and the rest of BR's collection. Something fluid and less constricting than skinny or slim dress pants. I can wear my nicer jeans to work, so I am not stuck; I'd just like some fabulous winter pants options because I am feeling that look.

I've had... a hard few months, and my stomach is more bloated than usual due to stress.

I am frustrated at things that otherwise fit running tight on my tummy - especially given that I've worn comfy jeans and pants for the pandemic. I do dress for work from home, but my tolerance for anything constricting has lowered.

Almost everything sells out in my size before I can get around to ordering. I may need to size up and go to a tailor for some items, which would be fine, but the size up is even harder to find. Also, there are more earth tones available this year, and that is just not my jam, especially in pants (olive green is an exception).

I've ordered the pants below, in black, sized up, to start. I also have a few other things on order (Madewell and Marks & Spencer). We shall see how those turn out.

I have scoured Nordstrom, J Crew, LOFT, Ann Taylor, Boden and Gap brands as well. I've considered other retailers that are newer to me, such as Everlane, but have run up against the availability of my size as an issue. Higher end designers don't always have my size at all, but there may be some I am overlooking.

Anyone got some great source for pants for a curvy body that I am missing? I am looking at sizes 14-16. Brands or stores to check out would be good. As I said, I am willing to have alterations done.
