I am so sad for you! I had a cute, very cute, pair of Isaac Mizrahi smoking slippers where the hardware on the top broke on both feet. I think it happened on an airplane. I must have put my feet under the seat funny or something. I'd built a couple of outfits around the shoes and replacements were not to be found.
