I put my toe in my destroyed BF jeans knee hole the very first time I tried them on. Ironed patches inside the knees shortly after. One patch has finally curled too much and I pulled it off last week. Time to spend another $2 to re-reinforce. Can you make shorts out of your torn pair?

Crumbcakes! This is a huge fail. I never realized that this could happen with pre-distressed denim. Now the owner is more distressed than the denim. Maybe a tailor could "darn" the patch back to normalcy...

Ha, I think I am probably just going to toss them. I have reinforced small holes in the past with iron on patches from the inside but this is just too much. Besides I'd always be worried that this will happen again! I'm going to stick to distressing below the knees only from now on!

Today, I also had to stand in a 30 minute checkout line at the bloody grocery store, and then I stepped in dog poop. SO ready for this day to be over!

I had that happen with some Gap ones just trying them on at home. Somebody posted about a product the boyscouts use for adhering badges that is clear and good to keep distressing at bay. I ended up putting patches on mine (because I wanted a patched pair anyway)

My distressed jeans from Miss Sixty actually have hidden reinforcing panels for the bigger "holes". I won't buy non-reinforced distressing because I have had a bad experience similar to yours in the past.

...is that the rips tend to make it more prone to ripping further.

So these ripped jeans had some small (maybe 2") rips in the upper thigh. I was getting into the car when I heard a big ripping noise and it turns out the fabric between two of the holes decided to rip! Now there is a gigantic 10" long rip on my upper thigh! :O. Not to mention abig flapping piece of fabric LOL.
Let's just say it was a good thing I was wearing a long coat!!!
