I was a 52 year old bride. The spead of throwing this together (needed to get households merged and functional before school started) and the strong desire for it to be casual and no fuss, but for me to still feel pretty and appropriate helped me be very, very flexible when it came to finding something to wear. The dress did come from a bridal store and was actually probably intended to be a bridesmaid's dress. The second picture is to show inexpensive bird cage veil, which was my favorite part. In fact, a primary consideration for the dress was to select one that would look right with a veil like that. Given more planning time, I would have selected something white, and the sort of thing that comes up when you do Pinterest searches for "beach wedding dress." But most "rules" now about second or later weddings, weddings with an "older" bride, etc. are out the window anyway. The beautiful thing about being fully mature when you get married is that you and your spouse can do things exactly as you please.
