A lot of stuff applies (like which colors work with which skin/hair), but my husband insists that men's fashion works very differently than women's. This post has some info, though it's from a while back: http://youlookfab.com/welookfa.....ns-fashion

My comment at the bottom is what my husband advises, and I would still stand by it.

These are also a few links he gave me a while back regarding summer derssing in particular:

Yes, absolutely, a lot of the stuff that applies to women also applies to men! Especially the stuff about flattering fit and colour. I assume you're looking for men's clothing and not women's? (Some men are interested in wearing women's fashions, which is equally interesting, but a different sort of ballgame, of course).

I don't pay much heed to the seasonal colour stuff myself, but there is a kernel of truth to it. Certain palettes suit certain complexions, and men have complexions too. But there's more to being fashion-forward than just choosing the right colours. What sort of clothing are you interested in?

Hello and welcome! I *definitely* think everything that applies to women also applies to men - from color choices to using optical illusions to emphasize your figure attributes. There's a lot more out there besides ties and cufflinks! In fact, I love taking inspiration from menswear for my own outfits.

Incidentally, I spent the past month wearing nothing but outfits inspired by men:

Heyo!
So I guess I think of myself as an aspiring, newbie fashionista. And seeing as this forum is so full of such fashion oriented people (women being the plus!), I was wondering how fashion worked on the flip-side, for men.

As I've noticed on my search for fashion, for men, all I've seen are different kinds of ties and tuxedoes or jackets, but I feel there has to be more than that. As I browsed through these forums, I saw color wheel matching, winter-season types, etc. Do all these translate into the realm of men? What should I be looking for? Can I call myself a winter-season dresser and base my clothing off of that?

Your newbieness,
Kreptzor
