I think it was olive green or maybe dark sage but oddly I can’t remember. It was a men’s shirt, not quite as thick as some shirt jackets but thicker than a flannel. </p> <p>The other shirt jackets I saw a lot in the 80s/90s were buffalo plaid with polyfill lining. I think we had some vaguely negative name for those, something a bit classist about farmers maybe? But I can’t remember it and it’s driving me nuts. Sorta like how some people call those tan leather farm/work boots shit kickers. (Though my family called them waffle stompers which I still think is a hilarious name. I recall them at some point in my youth - plaid and thicker fabric. They looked like a large shirt but people wore them as jackets. Often Woolrich ran too large for me to wear anything but their turtle necks, but my eyes always wandered to their selections. &nbsp;<div>Rebekahphoto, I remember the “big shirts”! &nbsp;Yes, all Bean quality is superior to many. &nbsp;Their pieces really do last for years. I think they become even softer over time.<br />&nbsp; Sally, I really love the length. Right now it makes for a great car coat and I am very happy having a little extra warmth under my bum when sitting outside.<br />&nbsp;Joy, part of our journey is recognizing the support of others over the years. Pendleton suits have been around for a long time. &nbsp;Early in my career, my grandmother (also and educator) handed down two Pendleton suits to me. Both had skirts with jackets. &nbsp;The jackets were short, had 3/4 sleeves and a Peter Pan collar. &nbsp;I wore them lovingly for years.<br />&nbsp; LaPed, I love the length on this one!<br />&nbsp; Thank you, Angie.
