The loafer I have above is the same leather as the Chelsea boot you mention. I wish I could wear the boot but the SA told me they do not recommend it for people with a high instep. They have several lasts. My shoes are primarily based on the Austin last which is for a narrower foot. It’s absolutely the best fitting shoe I have ever tried. I started with their loafer and have added an Oxford, a Monkstrap shoe, and their heeled Oxford as well. I toyed around with getting a Chelsea boot, but the very helpful sales associate on the phone advised against it because I have high arches. She suggested I purchased some lovely pink moc alligator flats, which are beyond gorgeous in person. The majority of my 2019 clothing budget has been poured into these shoes! (And a trench coat or two). I thought about posting about them but you beat me to it. I am not an Instagram follower. I stumbled on the brand because I was hunting for a loafer that would stay on my foot without slipping off my heel when I walk. These have been the only pair that truly fit me like a glove. There is a breaking in period. I happen to like that the soles are a bit stiff. They work well for my feet.</p> <p>One consideration worth mentioning.....these shoes have leather soles, so they are going to the local cobbler for taps before I wear them on a rainy day.
