I'm like Rachy - I never would have remembered David Byrne's suit being <i>that</i> big, because it was just a little bigger than what we were actually wearing.</p> <p>I never favored shoulder pads because I have big ones already (shoulders), but I just remember '80s clothes as having lots of <i>fabric</i> - and it was good - bunching under a tiny belt, pulling up the cuffs, popping the collar, pleats, sharp shoulders, etc. I was always going for a v-shape from shoulders to waist. I had a few Victorian Jessica McClintock blouses with big shoulders, huge portrait collars that ended in points, and tiny, nipped-in waists. Deep sigh, missing those blouses. In the early 80s I was so into the New Romantic look - all those fab Brits - BF at the time was a model/actor/DJ so waiting for the latest NME to come out then off to update his collection with the latest EP. Some great memories of clubbing and dancing till the clubs closed. I have tried or replace some of these on cd. Saw Simple Minds and The Stranglers live. Stranglers performance was quite controversial, with many people walking out and questions raised as to whether they were actually playing live?? I stayed and loved it. Simple Minds were amazing!! I currently have a best off collection on rotation in the car. Also have Echo and The Bunny,en on CD. Those perms aren't spiral curls though. The perms give&nbsp;hair&nbsp;body and wave so that it can be moulded into a style more easily, if you know what I mean.
