Fidjis actually come in half sizes. But it's true that it's much less common than here.</p> <p>I have seen a 37 described as a 6, 6.5, and 7 depending on brand and style. In many French Sole flats, a 38 is a 6.5! I'm not surprised. Sizing is never consistent, and one person's TTS is another person's "too big/too small." I have also had 37's run quite large on me, and I am most certainly not a 5 or 5.5. I rarely wear a 6 except occasionally in sandals.</p> <p>The reviews are saying they run small because they are probably going by the size conversions on Zappos. That's why I said to size up from what they say. But if you already know your Euro size, just go by that. Technically I sized up because a 37 is described as a 7, but in reality the size conversion is just inaccurate.</p> <p>I think brands like Bloch, Delman, Repetto, and French Sole that are dedicated (or nearly dedicated), quality ballet flat brands are probably the way to go. Ballet flats tend to be pretty shallow. You might be able to fit one of those stick-on arches, although I don't know how effective they are. They are VERY flat--probably not the greatest if you have high arches, but my feet are completely flat so it doesn't bother me.
