The beauty is in the&nbsp;fact they&nbsp;are lace ups. You can adjust the laces anyway you need. There is a zipper in the back on the heel, so if your foot is narrow you don't even need to touch the laces at all, you just unzip and slip your foot in. I can do that but then I played with the laces a bit to give me some more room in the toe box area, especially my left foot, which has a bunion at the base of the big toe. I imagine if you kept them laced too&nbsp;tight the leather might annoy but loosened up a pinch here and there,&nbsp;they don't bother me at all. Sometimes my feet will swell in the heat -- I like that I can just loosen the laces to accommodate that.&nbsp;</p> <p>These are like cage heels, for fussy feet that need a lower heel, and stability of &nbsp;a wedge, and laces for support/customization. As I said... brilliant! I found lots of goodies, and so did both my DD's.&nbsp;</p> <p>First stop for me was Club Monaco, while DD's hit H&amp;M nearby. I didn't think I'd find anything at CM, since I've not had much luck in the past, but low and behold... I had great luck this time and walked out with three spring-weight sweaters.&nbsp;</p> <p>pic 1 - Giselle sweater. Totally needs a cami underneath since it's sheer. The model in the pic is obviously not wearing a cami! &nbsp;Pic online really&nbsp;does not do it justice.&nbsp;Drapes really nice, fits me just a smidgen longer than in the pic there.&nbsp;</p> <p>pic 2 - Evangeline sweater. Is to die for. So beautiful and drapey. Reminds me of Eileen Fisher. Picture is accurate.&nbsp;</p> <p>pic 3 - Abby dot sweater. So comfy. Pic does not really do it justice.&nbsp;</p> <p>I tried on a lot of other tops, but these came home with me. The SA informed me that CM is owned by Ralph Lauren. I had no idea. I love RL -- their dresses in particular fit me great. I am going to shop here more in the future. Only tried on tops, no pants, today.</p> <p>Met back up with the kids, who had luck at H&amp;M, then onward to Old Navy, where they had luck too, then onward to Macy's to look at shoes....&nbsp;</p> <p>pic 4: Material Girl wedges. Both DD#1 and I bought these. They are awesome. Perfect for smaller ankles. Comfortable heel&nbsp;hight. Wedges for stability. And ... the laces can be adjusted!!! For those who have wider feet or&nbsp;bunions!! BRILLIANT!!!! These shoes really are brilliant. DD#1 is rocking them with leather skinnies she got at H&amp;M. They look great with dresses, skirts, cropped pants, cuffed BF jeans, dress trousers... anything. I just love these shoes to bits. I am going to wear them into the ground.&nbsp;</p> <p>pic 5: Vince Camuto Brianny. These were just so comfortable, the leather is so soft, heel not too high. Remind me a lot of what we wore in the 90s, but not black. The tan is a flattering shade for me.&nbsp;</p> <p>pic 6: Vince Camuto Lyssia Wedge.&nbsp;Had to come home and order these online, as they did not have my size 6, but I'm 98% sure they'll fit because I tried the 1/2 size down (5-1/2) and the 1/2 size up (6-1/5).
