I wear them all the time, and I am sure you and Kari can too! For me, it comes down to top; will it be pliable enough to let the chain and pendant sit between 'the girls', or is it a stiffer fabric that will make it seem like it is just bouncing off everything. The framing of the top matters as well, which is why my cardigans so often work with my long pendants.

Yes, I wear them all the time. I feel they do have a "slenderizing" effect. I am a size 16/18, 38G (formerly a 42DD before Maya's amazing bra fitting thread, LOL) and 5 feet 10 inches.

No advice as I'm in exactly the same boat as you, Michelle, but I am curiously keeping an eye on the tips from this thread. (FYI, your neckline/necklace sweet spot is the same as mine.)

Yes, you can! I just would make sure that whatever you try on doesn't bounce around when you walk - nothing like a heavy gold smack in the face (speaking from experience).

Listen to Angie! I'm only slightly full-of-bust in comparison to others but I find pendant necklaces really do provide a long line:)

YES.

Rute and Vani wear long pendant necklaces and rock the look with their fuller bust size. You need a pendant with weight on quite a chunky chain.

Michelle, I think this might work but you might have to experiment a little. A larger, heavier pendant will pull the chain down more vertically so you still get that long chain look even if the chain is slightly shorter than normal. I find that you have to be careful about the exact length though... I do not have a particularly big bust but I do wear low cut and v-neck tops a lot, and I find that sometimes a pendant that hangs near my neckline wants to drop inside my cleavage rather than sit on top of the shirt, if that makes sense, and I think this would be exacerbated by having a larger bust and hence deeper cleavage.
I think your best bet might be to get something with an adjustable length so you can play around with it a bit.

Ok here's what I'm thinking (without having refered back to Angie's guidelines). If you go too long the pendent will fall straight down from the largest part of your bust? I'd be inclined to go for one (or get one shortened) to the lowest point on your bust where the pendent will lie flat against your body. If that makes sense/ x

Yes, I know Angie has explained how to wear long necklaces with a full bust, and I also know from experience that her guidelines work. But hear me out: :)

I really like the long pendant trend -- it plays right into my love of jewelry, and on paper it looks like an easy and inexpensive way to add a current touch to my decidedly non-70's style. But here's the deal -- I have a *very* large chest and almost always wear low-cut tops in order to accommodate it. I know the long chain/pendant trend usually encompasses pieces that fall well below the bust, but by and large I favour necklaces that stop somewhere before the fabric on my top begins. Exactly how long does the chain + pendant have to be to look on trend? I guess I'm wondering exactly how much latitude I have to play around with this one. I'm going to a great mom and pop jewelry store later this afternoon, so I'd be tremendously psyched if I could have some guidelines sooner than later.

P.S. I mostly wear silver and am thinking of sticking with that colour for the necklace...do the current looks cover all metals or is gold the heavy favourite?
