Barbara - the irony is that only the ones on the left are actually shorts (from JCrew a couple of years ago). The other two are pants that were too short for PPL that I'm converting to shorts. I've got another pair of cropped pants that I'm going to convert to clams, too, I think - it's such a great use for cropped and too-short pants! I find bermudas slightly less flattering on most people. Having said that, I think the olive ones may look a little better cropped to bermuda length. The white ones definitely look better as clams, to my eye, because they are nice and slim. They taper nicely and are very flattering! The brown and green look great right above the knee but I don't mind them longer either. I will say that when I look at the overall silhouettes (without clicking on the pic) they look more streamlined shorter while the opposite is true for the white. Just an observation. Between width and length, getting it just right has been next to impossible. I like the shorter length on the khaki ones and the longer length on the white ones. As long as they are slim-fitting, IMO a bermuda (just above knee, I think) or a clamdigger (just below, I think) look cute and stylish to my eye. Others may have stronger opinions one way or another :). Preferences? They could go up to 1" longer, if necessary. I'm leaning towards clams. I'd want to wear all with flats or wedges. Thanks.
