I can wait and do another try-on in less of a sleepy hurry. I'm bummed about the moto, but you and everyone else are right. It's just not the right fit. And yes - I thought about sizing up but it's just right in the shoulders and body width, for the look I want. And sizing up wouldn't fix the back riding up. Kate I feel I run into this problem often! If I can tuck (or things are cropped enough) it's perfect. If the length extends past the waist it gets complicated fast. JAileen it's hard to find the right fit in jackets, but you're right, they are out there. Maybe I should stick to juniors' sizes for this style; they tend to be shorter in the body. But I understand your reasons for returning. The jacket is a great fit at the shoulder and a beautiful color on you; have no idea whether the faux leather will stretch. KILLER colour on you. But you know best when a fit feels off, so back it goes. I love the fit of the navy vest with the skirt!  If you're going to wear the peachy toffee moto zipped up, it's not the right fit. Also the too snug arms are worrying! Blast I was going to suggest a size up, but the shoulders are dead right in this size. I may do another try-on. But I realized what it reminded me of: a couple of Uniqlo merino sweaters I got one year. The slightly prickly feeling didn't really bother me once the weather was cool, but the sleeves went on feeling tight in the forearm and constantly riding up above my wrist bones. Even with good wool washing I couldn't stretch the length out. Sharan, I know I won't wear the jacket open; what I like best is the neat fit around the body (in front). It's definitely not as good a fit as the pink one. I may be trying too hard to make it work. Suz, I will definitely take pictures of the hat! I haven't had opportunity to fire up the iron yet, but I'll do that before I take my other returns back just in case. Straw hats are formed with lots of steam; I bought a straw cowboy hat in the Stockyards a few years ago and saw it sized right in front of me. And others shaped - the dents in the crown and sides, the shape of the brim, all of it. Fascinating!  The jacket folds in the back are changed slightly by how I turned to take the picture, but unfortunately they're still there when I'm standing straight. It's just too long in back for where my hip flare starts. I didn't get a picture of the pink but it is a little creased in back, like maybe wear (and driving) smoothed/flattened out similar folds. But it's still shorter. I would really like to hear Angie's thoughts, too. Rachy yes, it's actually painfully tight. Quite unexpected, since my arms aren't strings but they're not big at all. I'm starting to think there's more drawbacks than advantages to keeping it. I'm really glad the smaller size worked out.The sweater vest is also super cute on you.  Would love to see the hat on, and I just learned something (that it is possible to steam a straw hat back into shape!) I do not own one but Mr. Suz has a whole collection of them.  The Madewell sweater is.lovely colour on you from what I can tell and fits well into your palette but if you feel its styling is limited in your closet then you can pass.  The moto is gorgeous on you! Just delicious! I do wonder about that back fit. Two things -- will the faux leather "relax" (hard to say, I know) and could it appear worse than it is simply because you are holding the camera for the selfie -- I know things can bunch up strangely when I am taking photos at times, especially if I am wriggling around for the back or side view. I think the back view looks like it is not the right fit for you. However, if you are more likely to wear it open, it could work just fine. The color and front view look great. I've been trying things on as they come. Not everything is pictured. (Will edit quickly on the phone to add in pictures.) Green BP sweater (1): This was way too oversized for me the first time. I ordered down and am keeping the XXS. It's very cropped but meets the waistband of my skirt perfectly. I have other skirts that this will go with, too. And it's still super soft and comfortable. Navy T&B sweater tank (2): I will wear this as a sweater vest (probably not with the T&B blouse). I sized down, again to get a better waist fit. I really love it; it's very soft and stretchy and I'm looking forward to adding it to blouse and skirt outfits in the fall. (Apparently my top half is small petite and my bottom half is tall curvy. Fun combination, LOL!) Pink Brixton straw hat: This is the second hat I ordered and both arrived squished in the box! One side of the brim was bent up. But I think this is a keeper. It's my first Brixton and is real straw, so I should be able to steam and iron back in place. The brim has a slight downward tilt all around, which looks better and gives more shade than a totally flat brim. Now I have a pink hat to add to my blue and green ones. Dusty periwinkle Madewell sweater (3-5). I'm leaning return. The color is prettier than I thought. It has to be tucked in with skirts, which is underwhelming, but is okay with jeans. The wide waistband is good. The arms are snug and the knit feels a bit prickly, and the sizing feels off. The Small in is a titch short in the arms, and the tension pulls on the neck opening. In (5) I pulled the sleeves up and the shoulders/collar sits better. Cream-colored Topshop moto jacket. Huge around the body in my usual size. It's indeed a very 80s look, slouchy and wide but cropped. The feel of the faux leather (Polyester!) is amazing. I didn't want to deal with trying another size (would have to go down to the smallest) so I just returned and didn't reorder. BLANKNYC moto jacket (6-12). I love the fit around the body and the front waist. The color pairs well with either jeans or my blue and green skirts - and even matches the velvet one. The biggest concern is tight arms. Not bicep - elbow and lower arm! Even with no shirt sleeves it's super snug when I bend my arm. The second concern is that the back length rides up due to my body shape. I compared to my pale pink Candie's moto (see Find and picture 9). Identical in body width, front length, and arm length. The Candie's is slightly larger around the midarm (<1") and the back length is shorter; it seems to curve up in back. However, I remember being concerned about the arm width when I got it but either I don't notice it now, and/or it really has stretched. I'm leaning toward keeping the jacket and trusting it will also stretch and fit to shape, but I'm open to other opinions.
