Epic fails can be good things when we learn from them. It sounds like you have a vision and a plan moving forward, but please don't be concerned if you end up with more "epic fail"s.

I have not seen Real Truth and don't think it's been here. Wearing something 30 times doesn't sound like that many over a couple of seasons, but I've been doing tracking for a few months now and that is a lot.

It may take a year or so, but you will eventually have your aspirational wardrobe.

Hi SheDev. Epic fail here too. Perhaps we could try to make next week our best week ever?

As far as creating outfits that are 10s goes, this week was an epic fail. I started by posting this outfit with grey tops and nikes. I found myself really wanting to wear boots. I've really moved on from athletic sneakers and the fashion gods declaring them stylish hasn't really made me like them. I'm talking about the kinds that are created for sport and largely branded, I still love my Levis high tops. But those are more like combat boots with soft soles.

Have you seen the Real Truth movie? I've been working for awhile toward finding the right size for me wardrobe. I want it to be big enough to offer variety and small enough that I have time to wear the stuff. This year the question was do I have enough days in the season to wear things 5 times. I let go of some things that I was continually passing over. I became mildly obsessed with the movie and looked around the web for a couple of days for discussions on the movie. All I really found was reviews and an interview with one of the people involved with the movie. She said that we should ask ourselves if we will want to wear an item 30 times before we buy it. I like having a number for this. Things I bought in 2012 are sunk purchases and I won't force myself to wear things I'm truly not feeling, but I'm going to keep this in mind moving forward.

I had a record week of wardrobe failures. I had 2 tees that didn't survive. Also, my trusty Steve Maddens bit the dust. They were one of my first post YLF purchases and they will be missed.

My shift into my aspirational style is going along at a glacial pace so I'm setting my item limits aside for a bit and putting together a capsule that represents it. I started with shoes. I got one for work and one for play. The first ones are by naughty monkey and have soft bottoms for work. I work in an echo chamber so my hard bottomed boots are out most days. The naughty monkeys are for play. I can't wait to wear them this fall. I know I already posted two of these pictures.

Next up is toppers.
