Firecracker- I was so bummed after the Halogen kick flares didn't work for me. I really liked the fabric but they just pulled unflattering so at my calves. There's another Trouve pair (haven't figured out finds) that might work better for me. My local store doesn't carry so will need to order--this order/return process is wearing on me!

Suz- yes, these were my keepers. I should add that I also got a pair of Franco Sarto Granite booties (again, got to figure out finds on iPad if possible). I am so happy with them, but do wish some clothing would have made its way into my closet. I agree that it's a learning process and thankfully I have everyone's help here!
I think I ended up returning $700+ (to some relief too)- but I was really open to trying lots of different things. Thanks for sharing your history of NAS too. I've got it easy with a store 2 miles away!

Muffin, were these the items you ended up keeping?

Just to commiserate, my first NAS (after joining YLF) was pretty much a bust. It was really difficult to order from Canada then, which compounded the problems, but overall, honestly, I just didn't really understand how to manage the sale or even what to consider seriously for myself.

With time, and continual study, I have become much better able to negotiate this sale. I do still return stuff. Last year I returned almost $400 worth (maybe more, now that I think of it). But I also kept some true workhorses and a couple of special wild card items.

This year, almost everything was a win -- to my shock -- but maybe I shouldn't be so surprised.

Once you get to know the brands, know the fits, learn to suss out how the recommendations work for your body type and lifestyle and climate, it's going to be a really different experience, I expect!

Firecracker (Sharan) on "The final NAS"

Those are good insights to come away with, Muffin. And some great items to wear, too! :)
I'm still debating the two pairs of pants I got. It's so hard to know what I'm going to want to wear in the next several months. Mostly I'm not sure I want more black and gray pants, though I like the new silhouettes.

First of all I hope this is ok to put this in the main heading-if not please move.

All of my NAS items have come, been put on, reviewed and decided--finally. It seemed like an incredibly long sale by the end of it. Mostly I learned that I do best buying in store. All of my in store purchases were kept and 99% of my online purchases were returned. I learned that the clothing aspect of it was just too overwhelming for me- too many people, fomo, feeling rushed, and time spent stalking items was just too much. I was open to lots of new things (learned about here) and that's where a ton of ordering came in (& returns).

I ended up with some great footwear (the AGL's in gray) and a super cute clutch (in black). Disappointed some pants and tops didn't work out but decided I really do best if I can see the item in person (particularly if I'm not familiar with the brand). I do wish I would have spent some time on denim...

I had great fun with all the excitement on YLF and will try to go into next year's NAS with some sort plan!
