Personally I am going to vote for the Lulu jacket. I think you would get a ton of use out of it and you mentioned you have tried it on and love it. II am a pretty big fan of Lulu with a particular fondness for the jackets that have unique elements but are still gear. I have tried it on in person and really do love it (the pic is NOT of me, though). </p> <p>Outfits: You know I like a gearish bent to my outfits... The trim fit would be worn with all my fits of jeans and some rugged boots, over jersey dresses/skirts, and possibly with denim shorts and thick knit tights.</p> <p>Capsules: To and from work during the winter/spring, trips to San Diego year round ranging from morning use to all-day use (was still chilly in my Zella jacket layered under my wool coat this year), travel, hiking, oh and its intended use... running. </p> <p>Item 2: But! My heart has been lurching over a particular pair of Ann Demeulemeester boots since they hit the runway yeeears ago. This knockoff showed up in 2009 but was still too spendy for me and quickly sold out in my usual net haunts. I've searched for it periodically ever since and finally found a pair for a good price. I would have to "one-out" a different pair of boots to get these. Most probably I'd resell the pair of Frye Veronica lace-ups I got at the swap meet for $15 because they are the closest to a duplicate in my closet. I have not tried these on, however. </p> <p>Outfits: The adjustable laces and slim ankle would allow use over pants as well as skirts, Skinny jeans/ponte pants, mini dresses, midi dresses/skirts, possibly the occasional pair of bf jeans. </p> <p>Capsule: Dressed down for work and dressed up for DFS in the fall/spring, rain, travel (good low heel for walking), nights "out" dancing or party attendance (yes, our parties are very casual here). </p> <p>Soooo... you all know me. If you had to choose, WWYD? Jacket, boots, or both? Both IS a serious option, but I want to really think it through since I am emotionally attached to both at this point.
