I have the same jeans from last year, and I like to wear them rolled to the top of my booties--I don't feel the need for much gap. They look good with your Pettys, though, for sure. I hope there is no question about keeping these burgundy jeans! They are dynamite on you, and if you kept only one of these pairs, I would vote for these. The color makes them even more work-friendly than the others, in my opinion. </p> <p>The plaid shirt is really cute on you!</p> <p>Aack, the jeans all look good! I am partial to the Emersons, as I have those, in a different wash. I love them! And I like them a little bit slouchy, just the way they fit you here. The Kuts look fantastic on you. And I actually also like the Dre in Yesler on you. That wide cuff looks retro to me, fun and a little different. I like the dark wash on you. The wide cuff also makes them look a bit more casual to my eye, though, so maybe not what you're after for possible work-wear. </p> <p>I like the loafers, but I can relate to your hesitation about patent leather. Do the try-on test and see how you like them with some likely outfits. I have been following everyone's posts on NAS and, of course, Angie's advice and lists - as always, thank to Angie and the forum for making selection so much easier! </p> <p>This year I decided to bite the bullet and do the online pre-sale as well as order more things than I was going to keep, just to have a chance to try everything out together. As a result, many boxes have come and went back, but it looks like I might end up with a nice cohesive fall capsule. The only trouble I am having is making the final decision on a few of the items so any feedback would be appreciated!</p> <p>I focused on denim and footwear, and my plan was to get 1-2 pairs of jeans (I was mostly considering boyfriend jeans that would be suitable for a casual workplace) and some taller shaft booties to wear with the boyfriend jeans. I now have 3 pairs under consideration - I like COH "Emerson", Kut "Catherine" (in goal), and the Dre in burgundy. I don't think the Dre in Yesler (blue) work on me - there seems to be a leg shortening effect. The first 5 photos are of the COH "Emerson" jeans - they are shorter and more lightweight, 6-8 are Kut jeans, 9-10 - Dre in burgundy, 11, 15 - Dre in Yessler, 12-13 - Halogen kick crops, 14 - VC blazer. Not sure if I should size down in COH "Emerson" - they are kind of baggy but then being boyfriend jeans, that may be par for the course. </p> <p>I really like the Aquatalia Taylor and Pikolinos booties with the jeans - can't decide whether I should keep both or just the Aquatalia (not sure how I feel about the tassels on the Pikolinos). Interestingly, the taller boots seems to work better with the COH and Kut boyfriend jeans than my shorter black Petty booties but the opposite is true for the burgundy Dre (it looks like the burgundy jeans need some leg exposure between the hem and the boot). Also love the Halogen kick crops, the Caslon sweater (15), and the very soft BP plaid shirt/tunic (10).</p> <p>I am on the fence about the Sarto loafers (15) - not sure how I feel about the patent leather. </p>
