I feel your frustration, as slipping heels are the bane of my shoe existence. Heel grips have never worked for me beyond a single wear. Sometimes an insole in the entire shoe helps a bit. But even that is "iffy." My forefoot is a little on the wide side (not wide enough to go with wide sizes) and narrow heels. I moved up a 1/2 size and the SA said heel pads will work fine with them. Sometimes if I size up for width, I'll put a little lambs wool into the toe..keeps my foot pushed toward the heel. I'm dealing with a neurama so I have to have enough width in the forefoot.
