To me, it felt like a typical Australian movie in the vein of Muriel's wedding (possibly my most favourite local movie of all time), exaggerated characters and plot, a mish-mash of comedy and drama with a bit of Tarantino western thrown in. The eye candy was spectacular and the reason why I will probably see it a second time. I saw it last weekend and loved it.</p> <p>The 50s fashion was divine and the way they used the colour of the couture against the muted ochres of the outback was very clever. DH and I saw it on Friday night, and although he was one of 2 men in the cinema, it did sustain his interest.</p> <p>It has a seriously weird plot, and spans a<br /> variety of genres - comedy/drama with some western influences.</p> <p>Visually it is very interesting, and the<br /> starkness of the Australian outback is a brilliant backdrop to the clothes.</p>
