I have five pairs (FIVE!) of legwarmers, collected over the years. I love them in the fall and winter. I use the thinner ones under higher shaft boots, and the thicker ones over low shoes and booties.

I like the sound of your outfit. Great solution. I saw that Free People had leg warmers for sale. Now there is a solution for winter! I remember wearing those (outside of dance and workout wear). Yeah. Great look with jeans and combat boots. Remember Flashdance.

Great news!! It's so empowering to feel as if you've found a few tweaks that allow you to maintain your own style sensibility in weather that doesn't cooperate.

For me, the issue is how to create the effect of light/ skin on bottom when it is too cold to show ankles. With my personal colouring, wearing all dark footwear really feels heavy. Yet I want to extend the leg line, and slushy miserable weather in winter means it's somewhat foolish to wear light coloured bottoms. This creates a bit puzzle.

Yay! Boho dressing can indeed be tricky. I have a boho element to my style too, and sometimes it is a mystery as to what makes a look work.

Clever! This time of year can be tricky, as we need some warmth but not full on woollies. This sounds like a perfect fall outfit.

I always struggle with how to incorporate my boho sensibilities into my winter wardrobe and still be dressed warmly enough without wearing tons of schleppy layers. Last night I watched my boyfriend's band play outdoors and then we went out to dinner, and I didn't get a picture (Drats!) but it was a success. I wore my high neck cream lace top and layered a new blush sweater over it, wore two long necklaces that I've worn together before, paired it with my destroyed boyfriend jeans and added boot toppers to my new gray booties to fill in the gap. Those few tweaks made it all work, and brought the boho vibe into a warmer outfit. I'm going to have to remember this for winter. It CAN be done!
