Una, I think that may be an issue for me as well, since I also default to darker colors. I've always had this rule in my head that what I wear on top needs to be lighter or brighter than what I wear on the bottom, to help balance my body. These jeans will make that tactic impossible! But I was surprised to see, the black top with the white jeans doesn't look awful, probably because of the strong shoulder emphasis with the white stripe.

I'll have to play with these some more and see what kind of outfits I come up with. I'm not a big jeans wearer in the summer because it gets so humid here, so I'd need to find ways to make these work for cooler months too.

You look FANTASTIC. The issue for me was finding a way to wear them with the color palette I usually wear, so keep that in mind. You are one fearless fab babe!

I've worn with my white jeans with a grey striped sequin top and my moto vest. That felt edgy enough for me. Due to our incredibly short summer I don't think I've worn my white jeans once last season. I have a pair of skinnies, and wide legs.

You have a beautiful shape and I think you can totally wear these Janet! You look like you're really tall, so the contrasting black doesn't stumpify you in the slightest. A great blazer or jacket will give your shoulders a bit more presence, but is not really neccessary. Rock on!

You look terrific in the white jeans. I love the black white top in pic#1 but not crazy about the black boots against the white jeans. Maybe a soft gray boot??? Your pic#2 is adorable and I love the teaming of the sneaks and blue denim with the look. You have now inspired me to go give an honest look for white jeans. I used to always wear dark bottoms to balance my top but lately like myself in gray and khaki trousers so white jeans shouldn't be TOO much of a stretch from here. Colored jeans...like red are another matter. Still thinking about that!

Great fit on the jeans. I haven't worn white jeans in winter but can say they are extremely useful for summer and I don't know that I would go without a pair. If you think you can get enough wear in during the winter, definitely get them.

I really like the second outfit, but to be fair those are colors I gravitate to, so I am probably biased. Your rear view looks great and flattering too. The first outfit is flattering and looks good too. It is very bold.

You look great in these white jeans! I like the way you styled your shoes: black to bookend the black top, partly white shoes that make your legs look even longer with the lighter top & jacket.

I know you don't like to emphasize your pear shape, so I think you can wear these as long as you balance it with attention at your shoulders. I like how the white accents in the black top in pic 1 draw the eye up.

Go ahead and rock these jeans with your great figure!

I get what you're saying about the seasonal colors, VC -- very interesting! I wear a lot of cobalt, teal, emerald green, etc., and I can see white working nicely with those regardless of season.

These particular jeans, I believe, would be good year-round because they have a nice substantial weight to the fabric. Not thin like some white jeans I've seen.

If it were me, I'd keep. I think they look *really* good on you, and even though it's the middle of winter - I think these look fabulous. And yes, I would wear white jeans in winter, if I had a pair that looked as good as these. I'd actually be more inclined to wear white jeans in winter than coloured jeans. I'm thinking that this is because I see white as just as much a winter colour as a summer colour?

What do you think? White in summer evokes whitecaps on ocean waves, and yet - it also means snow in the winter.

In the meantime, it just occurred to me that if you were wearing white in the winter, you might want to pair the white with colours that you'd find in nature during the winter? You wouldn't necessarily find brights with white in the winter, but you would see grey (leaf-less winter tree limbs), and you might also see deep and dark greens. You'd see dark stormy ocean colours, but not so much turquoise. Does this seem silly? The idea that white in winter will look beautiful with whatever else is going on environmentally during that season?

Hope you keep the jeans - they look great on you. As much as they might be supposedly 'out of season', I don't really think they are. To me, white is just as 'winter' as it is 'summer'.

I like the black top, too! I know it goes against current wisdom around here, but I feel the slightly shorter length of the black top gives you more leg line and makes you look taller and thinner.

Looking for total honesty here. I generally avoid going lighter/brighter on my lower half. I think the fit is good -- Paige's sizing is consistent here. Just wondering if these are a) flattering, and b) adaptable to my evolving style persona (ie, edgier, more rock'n'roll looks).

Pic 1: Just for grins I threw on an old black & white top for high contrast because I like the idea of b&w graphic looks so much.

Pic 2: Then just grabbed the first tee & jacket I found, and put on my new Cons. Not crazy about that look, but I like the b&w version more than I thought.

Pic 3: the rear view. Ugh. Hello scoliosis.
