A minimal wardrobe does require more frequent washing of items, and they will wear out faster (IME as someone who has been quite minimal at times). Which can lead to greater stress around clothing because when say 1 of your 3 pairs of jeans is worn out or stained or lost or whatever, you are really running low and need a replacement quickly. That was my experience, that being super minimal caused me stress. My conclusion for me was that minimal was not easier, it was making my life harder. And I can see from ylf that to do it well requires quite a bit of work as well. My washer took a break on me last year while my DH was on a business trip. I told him in no uncertain terms that I was NOT taking the kids out to do laundry, and that I'd have to buy socks and underwear for them at the very least. Well, this week I was forced to be really happy that my own wardrobe is not extremely minimal!&nbsp;<br />This Sunday our washer failed to finish the wash cycle and displayed an error. My husband spent half of Monday trying to fix it without much success. <br />Today I called for service and they cannot come until next Tuesday!<br />If my wardrobe was really small that would be a tough call for me not to be able to do laundry for two weeks - and who knows when they can fix it if they need to order parts!&nbsp;As it stands now I have enough things in my closet to weather out this washer crisis </p>
