I logged on to ask if you couldn't have the dress shortened to tunic length to wear over leggings/skinnies. It is very special to have a "made for you" garment and I would not want you to part with it in haste. At least pin it or tape the dress up and try it as a top. I donated several bags of stuff already, but there's one item that I know I won't wear in future and that I can't bring myself to just give away...the turquoise custom dress. I know I went to extraordinary lengths to have it made and make it work, but I just never felt 100 per cent confident in it. I now have two other cocktail dresses that will get me through any occasions where the turquoise would have been appropriate and in which I feel infinitely better. I don't want to ask my seamstress for a refund, since the cost comes primarily from labour, and she certainly put that in.<br /> I'm going to put an ad up online, but if anyone here wants it (for any purpose at all), you have first dibs. </p>
