I think yours are the midcalf style, which is the tallest that they had and I tried on. I can see what you mean about too much work without a zipper! They didn't have the 20eye ones, but I tried on the 14eye to get an idea of the size. At first I thought the 9's were better, but they were loose on my heel. I finally decided I liked the smaller 8's better (I normally wear 8-1/2), so I would size down like Angie. </p> <p>The funny thing was my husband loved them! I was shocked because I thought he wouldn't have liked them. I think it must be something left over from his younger years. lol</p> <p>They also didn't have grey, but I tried on the red and black of the 14 eye and purple shorter ones , which I loved, btw. I'm still debating on ordering them because I'm trying to decide if I'm just getting sucked in because I *love* funky, colorful shoes and something new, or if they will really work in my wardrobe, which I'm still trying to figure out. I know the 20eye are good with dresses, too, but except for church I really only wear pants. Ugh, such a hard decision... </p>
