I have a long black all-weather coat and two packable ones, so perhaps it's a victory that I managed to refrain from black here. Haha! The truffle has a lovely depth to the color that I think makes a big difference.  The black looks good, too, of course, but the brown is newer and softer, I think. I hesitated to comment on your other thread because I couldn't decide which I liked better. Actually, I liked the one double breasted one but I liked the hood option on the other one. Both colors seemed nice but this truffle color blows them out of the water. This one is perfect. So glad that you found what you were looking for! I ended up getting a Calvin Klein trench that wasn't on sale, in a color called "truffle." It's a short style, but I think the length will work well for me; it's what I want most of the time. I do have a longer black coat I can wear for the few occasions I need something like that. The new coat has the hood and removable lining that I was wanting--yay! So it's not khaki, but I think this color will actually be more versatile for me, and I like it. Shown here (pics 1-3) with jeans, my go-to graphite booties, and Brahmin bag. Shown in pics 4-5 is the black version of the coat that I also tried and decided against. DH and I both liked the truffle better. (Mmmmm, truffle!) Not a K/R, just thought I'd share here and give you an update, though comments and styling ideas are always welcome. Thanks for looking!
