<p><div>Oh - Gaylene - I guess I don't call them PB &amp; J much anymore. Usually I call them both Stinky Monkey and ask them if they have stinky little monkey feet. They think that is absolutely hilarious. And I have sort of been trying slouchy just a tiny bit by dragging out a couple of immediate post-pregnancy purchases that are now slouchy on me. I like it a lot more than I thought I would! I haven't tried hi-lo tops yet. I'll have to play with that at the store.</div><div><br /></div><div>I have a gorgeous "designer" diaper clutch. I know that sounds weird, but there are definitely designer diaper bags, coveted by we over-privileged suburban moms everywhere LOL (it was a gift, and was not really *that* expensive). &nbsp;The clutch is big enough to hold a couple of dipes &amp; wipes, a sippy cup, and my phone/keys/credit cards, which is all I need for most trips out. I keep a full diaper bag in the car all the time.</div><div><br /></div><div>Anyway - it's gunmetal faux snakeskin. I would not have thought of basing anything in my wardrobe on that, but why not? Will that go with black/white/gray/ and something else like emerald or cobalt?</div>

<p>Gorgeous boys!&nbsp; My dd and ds are 6 months apart and, although they're now 11 and 12, I remember the blur of those early days!&nbsp; I basically wore black pants and bright tops.&nbsp; Boring, but workable.</p>
<p>Angie's MOTG post is perfect for your needs, and I'm so glad she's commented.&nbsp; I think Gaylene's statement of subbing in emerald might also be good for you.&nbsp; I wanted to say that I don't wear yellow, either, but I've loved my yellow handbag for Summer.&nbsp; It looks great with the cobalt I wear, too.&nbsp; Last fall, I work rust pants with my cobalt tops and loved it, too.&nbsp; Perhaps rusty brown leather accessories for you?</p>

<p>ok, stretchy black pants... I'd like to find some that have that comfy, not binding, not emphasizing my muffin top feeling. I'd like them to be loose enough that I don't have to wear a shirt that goes below my bum. Those type of tunic tops&nbsp;are hard to come by for me because of my height. I end up having to buy a short dress and it never has the look I was going for.&nbsp;</p>
<p>What sort of ponte pants am I looking for?&nbsp;What length should I be looking for?&nbsp;

<p>Jenny, so great to see you - and your cherubs - again. </p>
<p>Lets work down the list: you need stretchy black pants and jeans before you delve into the tops. There are lots of V-neck sweaters around, and I vote those for pull on and go with the twins. Perhaps a sweater coat is a better idea than a blazer, and I like the sound of your moto. Booties are next. </p>
<p>One step at a time. We can help you along the way. </p>
<p>And you and Shevia can share twins stories.

<p>I don't know how you can even find time to shop! Angie's casual capsule seems ideal for you. Maybe you can start with fewer items but that will still work together and plan to add to it as you are able. Your twins are adorable.

<p>Boy do I relate to the feeling of waking up after a couple of years of caring for twins and feeling totally disoriented - who knows what is because of the twins and what is because of age but everything is different! You sound like you have a good plan and congratulations for making it through the first two years - every year twins are more pleasure and mine are each other's BFFs.

<p>Oh, Jenny, your boys are growing up so fast; they really are adorable. (Can you still call them PB and Jelly--or are they too grown up for baby names?)</p>
<p>I think Angie's capsule this morning really struck a chord with many of us because it seems so doable and fits so many lifestyles. It sounds like you've already got a good start on putting together your version. Yellow and rust aren't great colors for me, either, so I'm contemplating substituting deep burgundy for the rust and emerald green for the yellow.</p>
<p>It might be worthwhile to try on a couple of the newer shapes when you shop for tops. I was a bit of a holdout when it came to the slouchy pant, but after seeing the shape on others and using Angie's tips on how to wear them, I became a total convert. My slouchy isn't as slouchy as some people's, but I'm glad I took the time to find my comfort zone. It might be the same for you with the looser, more fluid looks that are on trend these days, especially if you pair them with more structured toppers or partially tuck to reign in some of the fullness. With your height and long legs, I'd bet that you'd look pretty fabulous in some of those high/low tops that Angie has been showcasing.</p>
<p>OK, enough for now; I just wanted to welcome you back. I've missed your sass and style on the forum but I know that you've probably had your hands full with those cuties.

<p>I agree that today's capsule gave me lots to think about too! I would double check that you've got the jeans already because if you don't, I would prioritize buying jeans and a top to go with the moto for sure. It would probably be a good idea to check what you already have that you like and then focus on buying what you need to complete the capsule. You need to maximize the gift cards! :)</p>
<p>And your twins are adorable! Gratuitous pics totally allowed and appreciated

<p><div><br /></div><div>I was so, so happy to see Angie's post today about this Fall capsule. I'm still really struggling with switching my clothing and style over to MOTG, even though the boys are nearly 2 1/2 now! I'm still struggling with my body image, as I'm now post-twins AND older than I used to be. That must seem obvious, but it doesn't seem like it was so long ago that I was 32. In reality I'm now nearly 44. That changes things.</div><div><br /></div><div>A while back I posted my manifesto - how I would not buy one more thing that I didn't really like, etc. I have held true to that, but it means I haven't really bought anything at all.&nbsp;</div><div><br /></div><div>I'm looking at this post today and feeling like this is truly doable for me, with some tweaks. I like the idea of keeping the color pallette really tight. Black, white, grey and cobalt are great. Yellow and rust don't work for me, so I'll need to think about that.&nbsp;</div><div><br /></div><div>I can't wrap my head around the upscale sweatshirt thing. Can't. I'm also still struggling some with the fluid fit but need to find a way to like it, because it suits my lifestyle better than the ultra-body-con things I wore before.&nbsp;</div><div><br /></div><div>I have a somewhat cropped black sort of moto that I think will work well with this capsule. A blazer is something I'll need to look for. I think I have the boyfriend jeans in my wardrobe. I have had a lot of trouble finding ponte knit in a good (long enough) length for me (not into ankle length).&nbsp;</div><div><br /></div><div>I haven't worn patterned pants since 1987 probably. LOL! I used to love the outrageous but am just not feeling quite so outrageous anymore. I think a subtle print will be good for me.&nbsp;</div><div><br /></div><div>I'm excited about printing out these pictures and carrying them with me shopping. I have a $100 Nordstrom gift card and a $150 Talbots gift card. I know that's not enough to cover all of this plus the shoes and bag, but maybe I could get 2 pairs of pants and at least a blazer with this? Maybe a shirt too... Then I could fill out the tops with H&amp;M or Target if need be. And look on 6pm or something for the shoes.&nbsp;What do you think?</div><div><br /></div><div>Jenny<br />gratuitous picture of the twins. Yes, I am aware that everyone thinks their own kids are the cutest ever. LOL&nbsp;</div>
