At first, I was sure they were too small. But I had just finished a mile walk in the midday heat in my birkenstocks, so I'm pretty sure my feet were about as swollen and wide as possible at that point lol! I also have short toes so although the 7.5 fit me, I sometimes get by with 7 in heels or sandals because of my toes. I have a high arch, though, that is taking up some real estate as well ha ha. Depending on your foot shape, etc, you might want to size up. They do seem on the narrow side.<br /> Also it says synthetic on Amazon, but 2 other sites listed them as suede and to me they feel like suede.
