I think closed-toe flats would work, such as&nbsp; a good-quality more structured ballet flat or pointy flat; or a low wedge, or a slingback. It's not going to be a runaround dress, so I would not try to make it such. I know what you mean about scarves and the heat! But these scarves are very lightweight and gauzy and not very uncomfortable. It's seasonal though....I wouldn't wear the dress in the daytime right now anyways because the full sleeves makes me run too hot.
