I even notice it coming home after being away from our house for a few weeks!&nbsp;</p> <p>Yesterday I went and did a thorough walk-through of a rental house we own (was one of my childhood homes -- my parents wisely kept our old houses for rental income when we moved from one home to the next twice during my childhood). Our most recent tenant moved out after 15 years there, so I had not seen the house empty in all that time. Of course it's always sobering to see the things that need repair or attention, but part of me wanted to get in there myself with buckets of paint, cleaning supplies, and some tools to do the work myself. (I may end up doing just that in another month or so!) There is a little part of me that always envies someone moving into a new place, for that excitement that comes with making a new space your own. I have had the sofa since 1982 and had it recovered about 15 years ago. I thought about having it done again but I really like this fabric. The sofa is made by sherrill and did not really know what I was buying. Your furniture is versatile. It can fit into traditional or modern eclectic spaces.</p> <p>As I'm preparing to move back home... I'm dumping all my sharp edged furniture. And I'm thinking of dumping everything modern rustic. Those things are too ultra modern, too primitive, and not that versatile. The house is craftsman. Which is ok. Not sure if it is the wall color that is so neutral or my furniture and art. These are the same pieces I brought to the former marital residence (as msmary would say) from the last home I owned.&nbsp;It is really weird. The former marital residence had grayed yellow walls and the house before that, a yellow based white.
