She wasn't one to hold onto garments, so I don't know why she held on to this one. She gave it to me for 'dress up' when I was 17 and I wore it to a costume party (Gatsby Girl). It has been worn a couple of times every decade since - for New Year's or Christmas parties. </p> <p>The straps are in need of stitching down, and the zipper needs repair or replacement. There are some places where it is pinned in, and was this way when I got it. My question to you, and to the sewers...the zipper is silver coloured metal. Should I have it replaced with a black zipper, or should I keep the original zipper that is authentic to the piece?</p> <p>Unfortunately there are no identifying labels - not even a size!<br /> (Sorry for the cranky face - was facing the sun...) </p>
