<p>Thanks rachy.&nbsp; I bet you are thinking how glad you are that your mother would never wear such an outfit!&nbsp; One son and my grandaughter were there.&nbsp; They seemed to approve or maybe accept is the word, but did not comment much.&nbsp; I guess it was about what they would expect.

<p><div>I did not intend to abandon my post, but things got hectic here and I know it did for all of you.&nbsp; I wanted to read and enjoy your posts leisurely.&nbsp; Thanks to each of you for your response. I read and enjoyed each one of them..<br /></div><div>I wore a pair of whiskey (that's is what the tag said) colored, cord jeans, frayed hem,cropped . My long button sleeved prairie&nbsp; blouse was a small floral print the color of the jeans and pink and blush. Shoes were blush Mary Janes with a flat low heel, and a long rust scarf which I removed in the house and I wore a rose gold necklace and bracelets.&nbsp; Very comfortable.<br /></div>

<p>We’re going to my in-law-in-laws* house and I’m not sure how casual it is. They are fairly wealthy and live in a fancy town on the peninsula. But everyone around here is casual by default. Leaning towards wearing my nicest jeans and a wool top. </p>
<p>*I think they are my brother’s wife’s sister’s husband’s grandparents? Or his aunt and uncle maybe?

<p>Our family will also be really casual this year. Cousins in town from college, plus a preK and a kindergartener means lots of time on the floor, so jeans or cords, a washable sweater and warm socks! I’m hoping my moto jacket will fit over one of my sweaters!

<p>I have a new sweater arriving today and I hope it fits and looks good. If not, I'm going to have to try on some things--still haven't lost the weight around the middle from travel. I tried on an NAS sweater I've only worn once and planned to wear--but the weight gain makes it unflattering.&nbsp;</p>
<p>We'll be going to my niece's in Rocklin again. There will be maybe a dozen family members there. It's usually casual, but this year there will be newlyweds and I expect my niece to dress up for them. So not sure.&nbsp;</p>
<p>My nephews 8 &amp; 10 are usually dressed up really cute for the event, even though later they will be knocking over furniture, etc.&nbsp;</p>
<p>It's around 2 1/2 hours or more, depending on traffic and accidents. Chance of rain. I may wear an old standby longish red plaid sweater.

I've worn mine a few times and hope to get a few more wears before winter really sinks in but Thanksgiving is supposed to be brutally and unusually cold just for one day so I'll need something much warmer.

<p>I’m layering. We’re going to a family member’s house, and it’s always chilly there. Plus, I help with cleanup, so I don’t want sleeves to get in the way. So I’m wearing jeans and a striped boatneck top with 3/4 sleeves, and my new waterproof Naturalizer boots, and then I have a longer cardigan and a scarf for when I get cold. It’s supposed to rain so I’m taking my raincoat, too. We have to get going early before it starts snowing over the mountain pass.

<p>FAB hair, <b>Rachy</b>.</p>
<p>We usually dress up for TG in Seattle when we go to a fancier do at friends. This year though, we are at the loft in Salt Lake City, and heading to Park City to have a casual TG with friends. Snow expected. I will be festive - always with white pearls - AND wear my new duck boots.&nbsp;

<p>I try to wear fall colors and definitely something non-binding around the waist. I am leaning towards the Kut leggings from NAS on my bottom half and perhaps a new Boden sweater for the top. Not cooking and traveling local to my casual brother’s home. It’s supposed to be frigid here.

<p><div>Chris, You have your outfit well planned.&nbsp; I especially like the puffer coat. <br /></div><div>I do want to wear autumn colors, therefore I am hoping to wear the nutmeg coat (remember?) from last year.&nbsp; I have worn it very little, but still love it. Now that I have chosen the coat to wear I need to start thinking about clothes to wear under it, so I will be able to take the coat off inside. LOL</div><div><br /></div><div>Rachy, Gosh, that white leopard suit sounds gorgeous.&nbsp; I don't remember seeing it.&nbsp; I really don't like to wear dressy clothes more than one time with same people.&nbsp; Snitty?&nbsp; I can't imagine that your amethyst hair would be boring.&nbsp; That restaurant crab sounds wonderful.&nbsp; Enjoy!</div><div><br /></div><div>Sterling, You are so right.&nbsp; We don't dress up like we used to, and I surely do not go to many holiday parties. My grand daughter and her fiance are hosting this year.&nbsp; They have three beautiful boxers who seem to love me and demand my attention.&nbsp; Probably because I like them so much.&nbsp; Anyway, I will probably be wearing jeans.&nbsp; Looking forward to seeing your Thanksgiving outfit!</div><div><br /></div><div>Toban, Your Boden mulled wine top will be perfect for holiday dressing. Please post pics of your outfits when you wear them, and enjoy the holidays!</div><div><br /></div><div>Minah Lynn, I love your attitude.&nbsp; Indeed, we should give it our best shot and wear something we love.&nbsp; Shiny and bright will do it!</div><div><br /></div><div>kkards, That sounds glamorous, flying into Boston for dinner!&nbsp; I love that sweater and think it will look great with the pants and boots, also be comfortable for flying and other activities.<br /></div>

<p>My original outfit was going to be a JCrew black Tippy sweater, my leopard print AT midi skirt and black patent Chelsea boots, but given the frigid temps projected for Thanksgiving, I am going to wear emerald green midrise cords with a super cozy Vince cream sweater and knee high black riding boots. I will also throw on a scarf for both warmth and some color around my face. We drive about 4 hours to my brother's house so warm and comfortable is essential.

<p>Whoa, that's your hair, Rachy???? And is it boring to you???? Gorgeous I would say-and will be your best accessory, don't even bother, with the clothes:-). (A meshy top is made usually of a thin elasticated(or not)mesh, like a tulle but is usually drapey and not stiff, I love them in black&amp;textured(devore) or patterned-they have the same visual effect like black sheers or opaques (depends on the thickness) on the legs.

<p>Nice choice and sets of clothes for Thanksgiving Day! I usually wear something shiny or bright on this day. something that is really fancy. This only happens once in a year might as well give our best shot to our outfits.
