One of my wonderful senior role models commented last week how much she's enjoying watching me find the style that has always been in me. The warmth and support of this community give me the skills and the confidence to try new style ideas. You know, I didn't turn 50 and (a) suddenly have it all figured out, or (b) suddenly feel it was all over. Truthfully, it was just another day.&nbsp; I am generally a happy 50-year-old -- quite happy with where I am in life, with my mate and my kids, and with what I have accomplished ... and more or less happy with how I look (except for the neverending quest for the perfect haircut). But I have a very small circle of close friends, mostly other hardworking women, whom I see when we have time to get together. And we tend not to talk about fashion. So this forum fills a very real void for me. It gives me a daily lift and a sense of belonging to a bigger community, and it feeds my little creative outlet: my fashion and style.
