And this right here, in addition to all you also said, is why I love this place.

Funny. Zap and Angie made me rethink loungewear and PJs too! I have a devilish time with winter PJs too since I run v cold.

And now every time I see my own advent calendar I will think of cute young Master A.

Yay, Zap! Great ideas, and Ornella, your interpretation of the cake pops is so brilliant and pretty. What a great mom you are, and your son is a lucky boy.

Yes, our Zap is a treasure, like a pearl in an oyster.

Orny, I too feel flummoxed by how much great content is on this forum, and myself just a meager researcher without the time to take it all in, comment wisely, and keep up on it all. My biggest problem is remembering who -- who had that gem of advice, who made that brilliant observation, etc.

Madame O, you have always been one of my inspirations. Thanks for the insight.

OMG, Ornella, you are so kind. You are so welcome. I gotta say thank you right back at ya! Your Flavia series were brilliant. I want to be a Flavia too :)
I love the centerpiece arrangement, you are so talented. However, the kiddo totally steals the show. So adorable.

And thank you for the compliments on the cakepops. I learn something new everyday.

One thing that I can't figure out is how to see and read everything on the forum. I've abandoned the idea I can even comment on everything that's written or shown, which inspires, educates or amuses me. The beauty of many such findings is that they are almost hidden between the lines, written as the unintentional comment, reflecting the thought process or describing completely different situation than the one I'm reusing it in. That's the nature of YLF I guess, there is finite number of hours in the day and infinite inspiration here, and I can only hope I'll come across the right thing for me at the right time.

But, I do read as much as I can and take it all in… and then, some ideas resurface and help me in my everyday day life. This thread is to say Thank you to Zap, for she had offered solutions for two big dilemmas in my life this year.

The first one came through one of the travel capsules discussions months ago. Zap had mentioned that instead of her PJs she always takes the tracksuit (or similar) on the business trips as one never knows when she'd have to run out of the hotel due to fire alarm and the last thing she wants is to be outside in the heart-patterned PJs. Well, that's at least what I read in it all and I had a lightbulb moment. What stood out is - tracksuit. I have real problems finding jeans, as you may know, but PJs is another one. They don't make the long enough PJs (or the right kind of long PJs for me even in the specialised sources), I've even branched out to men's department with no success… but tracksuit, that was a novel thought. Very quickly I found the right kind (colour, fabric, length) to be my PJs -- all thanks to Zap :D

The second solution is recent one. Every year I make advent calendar for my son (and I don't want to reuse the ideas from previous years, just to go easy on myself), but we're so short on space at the moment and don't hang things on the walls here, so I needed a solution for displaying small sweets with numbers on them in a tidy way and without taking too much space. Quick if possible and easy to implement. Then I remembered Zap's amazing cakepops and thought I might have a solution. Zap makes masterpieces which are in league of their own, check them if you haven't already. On the other hand, my little project is far from perfection -- but it is perfect for my son :-) I used the drinking straws to attach the chocolates on them, popped everything in the tall jar and now we have a different type of advent calendar which ticks all my boxes.

Thank you so much Zap!
