I haven’t laundered the new ones yet.  Maybe it’s a climate thing? Only occasionally in the winter do I ever notice any issues with static. I’m a little under 5’7”. These are size medium.  The fabric has a substantial feel. They’ll be almost year round pants for me in our cool climate. This sort of item is always difficult for me to get right - it's a balancing act between looseness for comfort & just enough structure for it to be flattering. No doubt the cropped look helps to reveal enough skin to be flattering. I assume they're cropped above the ankle for you? How tall are you, if you don't mind me asking?
