Wow, Jennifer, this could have been me writing about 36-inch inseam and buying clothes just because it fitted. I think 30% of my posts contain reference of some sort to that way of thinking - and I am happy to say, the old way.

You are spot on with "Life is too short to not wear a 10!!" There's no way to think differently once YLF infiltrates our lives, is there :)

Welcome.

Jennifer, what a cool insight! well done. I can't wait to see more of your WIWs.

Denise, you look way taller than 5'4" - especially in your lovely 7FAMKs.

Love your WIW picture! Just my style. Jennifer, I am still in awe of the fact that you require a 36" inseam... I require a tailor to hem those long inseams! I am 5'4" so am in complete envy of anyone with your "problem."

Ah yes, I don't get disappointed anymore if I come home empty handed from a shopping trip; I know that I'm shopping wisely.

Like the others, I like how the stripes show through the top layer. Great outfit! Look forward to seeing more of your style. Welcome!

Great story. I used to feel bad if I couldn't find clothes that fit or I didn't like the material, now I realize it's part of the process of being a discerning shopper. Cool outfit too -- love the sheer top over the stripes.

Oh yes! Good for you! I reached that point only recently, so you're way ahead of me! - I actually had hardly shopped for 10 years (!) so had a lot of catching up to do, but now have reached the stage where I only want the best. It's great having Angie demonstrate holding out for the right thing.

I am so happy! I went shopping today, and I bought NOTHING! I have you to thank, Angie. I know that sounds strange, but it's true.

I tried on a pair of jeans, and they fit, which is a miracle since I need a 36-inch inseam. In the past, I would have bought them simply because they fit, worn them for a while, and then relegated them to the back of the closet or the Goodwill pile when I finally could fool myself no longer.

This time in the change room, I thought about the jeans long and hard, and I realised that although they fit, there were just too many things wrong with them: bad, cheap material that was already stretching out of shape, strange pocket design, wrong rise, and terrible distressing.

There were also some shirts I left behind too because, although cute, they weren't 10s. Life is too short to not wear a 10!! I truly believe you and your site have given me the confidence to finally see that. Thank you, Angie.

I added a WIW today too because who doesn't love pictures!
