He was falling a lot with mini strokes that knocked him out. He was sent to the hospital after a fall. I lived a 4 hour drive away and roads were snow packed. The nurse I talked to said not to come. He was fine. But he died in the hospital of another stroke and I was not there. At least his pastor was with him. It was 20 years ago and I still am dealing with his bank. You looked great! </p> <p>Seriously -- there is no time in life when a hard-working wardrobe becomes more of a gift than when one is caring for ill and dying family members or travelling a lot to see them or dealing with emergency situations. And there was plenty. Special gratitude to the YLF forum and family for your non-fashion related support, empathy, sympathy, and kindness this year as I moved through frustration, anxiety, and grief related to my parents.</p> <p>Fashion-related, it was a gift to have an appropriate wardrobe, and my YLF knowledge so that getting dressed for long days and weeks at hospitals and hospice, funerals, celebrations of life, Christmas parties at senior living communities, and other first-time or once-in-a-lifetime occasions was not an additional emotional burden.</p> <p>Also fashion-related, thank you for your inspiration (boots! sandals!), and kind comments on my WIW posts. They were always a boost.</p> <p>I wish everyone a peaceful exit to 2023, and great hope for better days ahead in the new year.</p> <p>xo</p> <p> </p>
