Yes I have try them, but I I didn't like at all, I think my best feature is that I have no belly and I have waist and when I hide it I look bigger

Gals.. tthank you so much! you gave me such nice ideias!

Angie.. you noticed that the safary dress was too tight on the bust.. That's true but the ideia of using it with a cami is great.

Shinny.. you gave a great ideia with the belts.. you are right they will solve the problem with the cardigans.. althought I will try to spot a cascading cardigan a little bit shorten because i'm not very tall..

What a fun way to spend your lunch hour! My favorites are the coral cardigan (especially the color; I don't think it makes you look wide but I see what you mean) and the cascading cardigan. There are many styles of cascading cardigans (different lengths, some with more structure than others), so perhaps a less voluminous, more structured version would work for you. Let us know what else you find!

Rute, I love how picky, er, discerning you are!

Agree that the shirt dress could work - try the cami and a different color. The coral looks amazing and I do like the shape, even unbuttoned.

The cascading cardigan: I have yet to experiment with this trend myself, so I'm hard-pressed to advise, but being height-challenged myself, here goes anyway...

I am thinking that the length is too long for you, but that this look could work if it was scaled shorter, so that the back ended where the coral cardi does (showing off the curve of your lower back), and the top fold of the cascading part hit at the bustline or just above it? The drop from the bust effect you mention doesn't bug me so much, as this sense it is just too long overall?

You could also try belting this style of cardi... I don't think they're supposed to be belted (it's meant to be a lose relaxed look) BUT it could look rather cute, with a skinny belt loosely cinched, if you are a belt sorta gal. You certainly have the waist for a belt!

You really do have an amazing figure. I meant to post on one of your other threads - you were in a satiny dress that you didn't like the cap sleeves? That dress was killer (cap sleeves only subtracted a 1/2 pt for me for a 9.5 score).

Ooh rute, what fun! The coral looks fab on you. I also like the cascading cardi on you. I guess the style itself doesn't allow for much of a silhouette from the side. Maybe, as suggested, a colored cardi will provide a bit more contrast and interest?

Yay, rute! That’s the spirit. You’ll NEVER know until you try. I love your uber hourglass-y bod!

I think the shirt dress has potential but the colour is tricky and it’s a little snug on the bust. But keep trying this look. Wear a cami underneath and unbutton for extra room on the bust line.

Coral looks very pretty on you and I really like the cascading cardi! Well done :0)

I like the patterned top with the orange sweater the best ... nice layered look. I also liked the safari dress ... safari inspired clothes are fun to accessorize. I think it's a great idea to experiment like that ... may try it myself.

Rute, I love the orangie cardi on you. The color is fantastic for you...but I agree with Inge a cardi with buttons may help to accentuate your waist more. The safari dress looks good and with the right accessories could be a totally fab outfit.

I think that it is great that you are stepping outside of your comfort zone.

Inge,
Yes, the safari dress is a dark beije and it is not my color, you right.

The cascading cardigan, yes.. the side view bothers me.. I look huge.. I'm busty and it falls straight from the bust making me bigger.

What's a banded hem?

- Safari dress: is it beige? I can't see because of the flash, but Safari dresses often come in beige, and that's a hard colour for a lot of people. The cut isn't too bad, but I think I'd like it better in a brighter colour.

- Orange cardi: love the pattern mixed with the cardi. It's such a cheerful colour. I don't think you look wide Rute (the side view is fine too;-), but maybe you could try a cardi with buttons and just button the middle ones, that will accentuate your waist.

- I actually love that cascading cardigan on you!! What's bothering you about the side view?

- I agree that the white voluminous tunic and the voluminous top are not the best look on you (have you tried a top with a banded hem yet?)

Glad to hear you had fun! Keep on stepping further away from that box, you're doing great;-)

Debora,

Thank you for your suggestion.. Next time I will try to find a cascading cardigan with color and maybe not too long.. I didn't felt that it was the more suitable fit for me.
I must confess I never tried leggings also.. someone told me that it shortened the legs and i'm not very high. We should both try!

Rute, what a great idea! So often I end up buying what works for me and never even try to step outside my box. I think I'll have to make a trip to the mall and try out some new looks, maybe leggings! :)

All cute looks. I love the coral cardi with the pattern top. You wear color so well. Would you consider a cascading cardigan with color?

I'm very faithful to what I know that works for my body, but hearing you speak and experimenting new trends make me feel like stepping out of my box..

so here are some trends I experimented durinhg my lunch hour (I add comments to the pictures) and I would appreciate your comments too:
