I have a love/hate relationship with Chacos. I love the footbed-- it is so, so comfortable for my high ached feet.&nbsp;I'm confessing here that I currently have three pairs (already got rid of a fourth). But the hate part is that the straps irritate my skin. I apply bodyglide and that helps some but not really enough. Also, I am finally going to get rid of my pair with the strap around the big toe. They are my favorite pair in terms of looks but they strangle my toe as soon as I start walking and I just can't get that to stop. Sigh. I have no proof of that theory, but he hated them so much. I'd had them for something like 8 years and used them for summer hiking, beach wear, etc. All of a sudden, one year I pulled them out of winter storage, wore then for an hour or so, and had to take them off and put them in the donate bag -- they had somehow become totally uncomfortable on my foot! I ended up replacing with a pair of really simple Tevas. The measly $7 wasn't enough to offset the price like I wanted, so I took my Chaco search elsewhere.&nbsp; I ended up finding some extra loud purple ones (and funky red ones) for the price of one pair at REI.&nbsp; Deep inside, I knew I should find a neutral, but I love color!&nbsp; I will be wearing these for years...the colors will match nothing I own, and I will in the process develop the worst criss-cross tan lines on my feet.&nbsp; There will be WIW shots with said fugly sandals. They really are the most comfortable shoes ever...:)</p> <p>If anyone else secretly loves Chacos, Sierra Trading Post has them dirt cheap (and a 35% off coupon code). </p> <p> </p>
