I like Katie Holmes scarf. I like the whole outfit. There is a vintage Coach scarf I am eyeing in a store near me (burnt orange and chocolate brown). The flight attendant look seems very fresh right now.

I was going to say that scarves are definitely getting larger, but then realized what I bought as a scarf is labeled as a *wrap*. Duh! It is 108” long. Still on the fence about keeping it even though it crushes down. But in general, I think scarves have gotten larger and/or longer in recent years — which I acutely recognize because I am short.

I agree, the infinity scarves just feel tired now. Plus they're limited as far as styling. I'm mostly seeing long, thin to medium weight printed scarves, and some tied to bags. I mostly wear them in mild weather, when I don't need layers, but have been wanting to be more minimal lately.

Helena, cute vintage scarf. Try it with a white sweater, and I like #1 best. Create a square knot.

You need a BLUSH patterned scarf!

I love seeing scarves worn air hostess style and wish I could do it myself. I try, then take it off about 5 minutes later. I think my neck is too short or something. I tend to wear fewer scarves from spring on into summer - preferring to showcase some skin (ha) and some jewellery - so maybe I'm in no position to comment. As for trends - I think infinity scarves need to be given a rest for awhile - but they've been trending downward for a couple of seasons now.

I see plenty of printed scarves in various fabrics, and most of them are medium to large-sized.

I recently bought a large thin silk scarf, grey with an abstract print in a multitude of "my" colours. It looks like a piece of art. I am so happy about it, because it adds pizzazz to any outfit, looks elegant and feels comfortable any time of the year. I wear it in several ways around my neck now in cool spring--and plan to wear it more open, as a breezy shawl, in summer.

When I take a break from scarves, I wear a necklace instead.

I don't think infinity style scarves look dated.

If silk scarves are too fussy for your lifestyle, why not try fabrics like crinkled cotton/viscose?

Don't worry too much about which styles, fabric and colours are trendy or not. Most scarves can look great if you wear them with confidence. Find out what YOU like to wear and what suits YOUR style, body and personality. Try a lot of different styles, and identify your favourites.

I am not a good scarf person - I much prefer this stewardess style!! But I do have a bit of poison eye for the bandanna/bib style and sugar eye for stewardess style!!

I am hoping to add a lovely silk scarf this year. I go for classic designs mostly because they do last a long time.

My most worn scarf ever is navy, grey, white, warm cream/ecru. It just seems to work with every neutral somehow and pulls casual outfits together. I do like a patterned scarf to pull together outfits (I also have one with navy and black which is helpful).

I could see you with small silk square scarves - in red, or pink and blue or similar to wear with your neutral looks. It is a lovely way to add a touch of colour and you have the hair and neck that it could really suit.

After seeing your pictures - I like the “stewardess style”.

I also like going maximal (for me) with scarf+necklace+earrings when wearing a short scarf or an oblong scarf. Something about the extra color + bling makes me feel more put together than just adding the scarf. (I’m sure there’s some psychological factor here... )

I'll stick with the air stewardess look for today and if I don't feel choked, a striped and patterned silk (-esque) scarf is on the list - one appropriate for pattern mixing with my striped tops

I’m definitely seeing a number of casual scarves with details added - pompoms, fringe, etc.

I try to keep away from super trendy scarves as I don’t buy many, and want to have them last. I purchased the pink/blue one (silk, floral, reversible) below using a Christmas card, and just purchased the gray/green one (silk/cotton, abstract print) which goes well w my primary work wardrobe, and may work as a summer wrap.

I've been noticing quite a few scarves with fringe, pom-poms, tassels, etc. Skews a little too boho for my taste, but seems in keeping with the maximalist bent fashion has been taking lately.

I've noticed the mixed-print and double-sided scarves that Joy mentioned.

I don’t know what the trend in scarves is but I do tend to wear one in allbut the hottest weather. My main considerations are colour and fabric. It must be comfortable and add something to my wardrobe as scarves to me are a bit like necklaces are to other people, they do have a mainly decorative role.

I'm wearing silk scarves knotted simply and shawls in patterns and sumptuous fabrics. (I was wearing one in my latest WIW and will be posting another one shortly.) Infinity scarves do feel a little dated to me, as do those modal scarves with little prints that were everywhere a couple of years ago.

I just put a huge blanket scarf in my holding zone to re-evaluate later in the year. It is too large to wear as a scarf, it's dark burgundy and chocolate plaid; too "fall" to double as a beach wrap, and I tried to wear it poncho-style, belted over white jeans, but that look failed miserably. Maybe if I can find a way to make it smaller, it could work...

I don't know what's trending, but what I am gravitating to lately are gauze-y, muslin-type fabrics and chiffon-like weights in solid lighter colors, lighter greens, blush, florals and polka dots. I am texture-crazy these days, so YMMV...

I'll add photos...

I haven't added any new scarves this spring either. I am looking at statementy pieces in sterling silver jewelry. Very pricey compared to scarves, of course, but this is where I feel my heart and style direction is headed towards.

Lately I’ve been perusing some various street style looks, and other trend reports. I honestly haven’t seen scarves, except as headbands or turban like looks. Not really in the traditional sense around the neck.

I love vintage neckerchief styles - approximately 21” squares for me (i’m 5’10” and need a little more bulk proportionally.)

With tees, button-front shirts - I think they look fresh. However, in the high heat of summer I know I won’t tolerate them..... love classic stripes and regular follard type prints in sassy colors.

What I am seeing is a mix of prints on one scarf or a scarf with one print on one side and another on the back.
