It is a lot simpler and faster, and works better with other Mac stuff.</p> <p>Outlook is much more powerful though. You might miss some features if you move to Mail.</p> <p>It is also worthwhile to make a distinction between Mail and Calendar. If you are dependent on Outlook's calendar then you probably won't be happy with the Mac Calendar app (previously called iCal). It is very rudimentary.</p> <p>So my guess is that your calendar issues won't go away with the move to Mac Mail. Or more accurately, you will trade your current issues for a new set of issues relating to Mac Calendar's deficiencies.</p> <p>Just to add to the complexity, one other option to consider is BusyCal. Many of my clients (some tiny, some big corporations) are on PC.<br /> I'm having issues with email meeting requests, specifically cancellations/changes.<br /> I purchased Outlook for Mac 2011 hoping it would help, but so far it's just causing other problems, and now there are sync issues with iCloud.<br /> From everything I've read, there's really no way to resolve this.<br /> My clients' IT departments won't help me since it's my own equipment. :(</p> <p>My question - should I just stick with Mac mail, since everything else I do is Mac (iphone, all my programs, etc.)</p> <p>Or is Outlook a better mail program?</p> <p>What do other freelancers use?<br /> Thanks so much! </p>
