Roxanna, I will be watching with interest. There are some more-trendy-than-classic items in my closet that I should wear the heck out of. I am looking for wardrobe orphans.

I love these ideas and I love how people are jumping in! Can't wait Ty see everyone's progress.

@Texstyle, isn't it funny how something will language in the closet for years and then get pulled out and worn so much more? I'm finding that with my taupe items as I introduce the color back into my capsule.

@LiketheSeason, I love the idea of a progressive capsule - thanks for sharing!

@Sarah D8 And @jussie - can't wait to see your progress!

@Jenni NZ - I am totally sure fire a closet clean-out; but I need to see everything in real life and try it on decide. I'll probably to do that late July or early August and report back!

Roxanna, what a great idea. And Like the Season, thanks for posting that “progressive capsule” link. It gave me an idea. To encourage myself to dress deliberately and remix my summer clothes, I think I’ll do a version of this. The rules I’m thinking of are:

-track what I wear each day
-for week 1, wear whatever I want, but no repeating garments during the week.
-for week 2 and subsequent weeks, each day choose 1 item that I wore sometime during the previous week, and wear it in a different way.
-wear at least one accessory each day.

I’ll start July 1!

Great idea Roxanna. Sometimes we forget about all the clothes we have already, and rush off too quickly to buy new stuff. My personal challenge this week is to see if I can make my puffer jackets and vests a little more exciting somehow.

I love this Roxanna, and will follow your lead! I just started a new 90-day progressive capsule to keep track of wears. I did one last fall and found it very enlightening.

The idea came from Karen at Sustainable Fashion Chat:

oh, and suddenly this belt seems to be working with everything I'm wearing - I've had the belt for several years now but have worn it nearly every day recently.

I've been doing the same Roxanna - though I'm not formally tracking, I'm *making* myself wear things that sometimes I skip over for no real good reason. It's making me much more aware of the things I like and some of the small little things that I thought I didn't like, I actually don't mind once I get over it in my mind.

Today I'm wring this block print Free People top that sometimes feels a little too much material but in reality is very comfortable and easily semi-tucked. Also, I can wear it without feeling the need to add jewelry because of the style/print. This will be wear #3 and I hope to get in at least 5-7 more wears this season.

That's great! I've been trying to do that also. Yesterday I went shopping with a friend to an amazing sale I've never been to before though, in a warehouse way the heck out from my part of town. And got two lovely new tops. Which kind of defeats what I'm trying to do! So last night on my clothing lists made notations on everything I should probably give away due to just not wearing despite trying hard. 15 winter items and 11 summer items( away in storage so that won't happen until at least September). Now can I actually make myself do it is the question. I remember your last year's post about the workout tops - did you have a clear-out?

Inspired by Sal's recent Challenge post, Thistle's recent post on being done shopping, and Staysfit's posts on buying things she likes but doesn't wear, I've decided to do a Team Wear challenge for the rest of the summer. I use Stylebook to track my outfits, so i can tell exactly how much I have worn something. My goal is to get 5-10 wears on everything in my summer wardrobe (i have a large wardrobe and wear things infrequently, so this is actually a stretch goal!)

I love to remix, so i will be mixing and matching and creating outfits and WEARING the heck out of my clothes from now until September. Go Team Wear!
