I hemmed and hawed over whether I was Team Silhouette or Team Color, because I change up both, but I went with Silhouette because I felt that that was more "bang for my buck." Thinking about your suitcase-packing behavior is a good idea. I don't like to repeat silhouettes when I travel either. My packing list often goes something like: loose pants, slim pants, skirt, dress, fitted top, loose top, short jacket, long jacket, sneakers, sandals -- the one-of-everything approach. :)</p> <p>That said, my colour palette is not nearly as defined as yours, Jenn. I wear a lot of black and denim, but I very rarely wear an all-neutral outfit. And if I wear dark wash denim one day, I often want light wash the next, or black, or grey, or olive... Where others feel soothed by the simplicity of an all-neutral closet, I would feel terribly bored. There's no way I could pack a suitcase with the same silhouette repeated in different colors like she did. I'm hardcore Team Silhouette.</p> <p>While I do wear more colors and patterns (and even more silhouettes!) than shown here, I chose outfits in a really limited palette to show how much I vary big and small aspects of silhouette from day to day. I often use a single item to get multiple silhouettes by wearing it differently, tucking or not, adding layers, etc. </p>
