I’ve used the colour remover too and it worked a treat. I think if you just overdye the sweater blue without removing the colour first it might come out green-ish (because blue + yellow makes green). Or you could try to neutralise the yellow by adding a little of the complementary colour to yellow to the dye bath (which I think would be violet). But that’s tricky! If you do just overdye, I would use lots of dye - twice the recommended amount. That gives a more saturated look and would be more likely to overwhelm the yellow. I do it in the washing machine. Advantages - it’s non messy. The machine does the work (agitation and heat). Disadvantages - you can only use one colour. You have to clean the machine afterwards. I also run a load of dark items afterwards in case of residual dye. After dyeing I sometimes use RIT dye fixative too, with mixed results. I wash my dyed items in warm water, but only with similar colours or darker items. At least for the first few washes anyway. I find the darker dyes (black, brown, dark blue, red) are the least colour fast. Lighter colours (like the top in no 3) don’t seem to bleed much at all. It’s all about tiered skirts at the moment. Some of mine are from Allsaints. I also have some from YOOX. Sass &amp; Bide (not sure if that’s available in Canada?) usually do some asymmetrical skirts. There is the option of buying a maxi skirt and having the hem made asymmetrical. I’ve done this to achieve a simple diagonal shape, but I wouldn’t try it for a more complex handkerchief type hem. I find even my most lightweight rain jacket makes me feel sticky and sweaty. I often just end up taking an umbrella. The combat boots help. I think maybe I need some sort of cape that is more airy but still protective. </p> <p>Joy, I’m sorry about the wildfires.
