I have knee length boots that were my go to last winter...They were comfortable and filled bill perfectly...Mid calf don't make it with me...They seem to end at an awkward point on my leg or something...I have just ordered a pair of suede bootie shoe heels...So we'll see where these go...

I have mid calf moto boots that I wear with skinny jeans, but have also worn with tights and shorter skirt. Oh, and even a dress and tights. I style them in a pretty similar way to higher boots, but I sometimes like having more leg showing, it's sometimes easier to make a skirt/dress proportion work for me.

I have mid calf boots and I wear them mostly with jeans and skinny pants. I find them tricky to wear with skirts for the same reason as E - most of my skirts end below the knee. Mine are fairly fitted not slouchy. I do think they are a fun change from ankle boots and tall boots but I don't think they are quite as versatile - for me anyway.

I have a big love for mid-calf boots and have 3 pairs. I have short legs and very athletic calves, so trying to find tall boots that fit well is a challenge. I find mid-calf boots easier to fit and they seem to work on my legs just fine. I wear them with both dresses/skirts and with jeans.

Given that I just bought a pair of mid-calf boots, I'm reading these responses eagerly, so thanks for asking, and thanks everyone for answering! (Mine are kind of a nude/taupe/putty color, so I'm hoping that helps with mine.)

I have two pairs of mid-calf boots which, like Diana, I particularly enjoy wearing with skirts/dresses as well as with straight leg pants. Slouchier pairs seem more versatile to me. Overall I don't find mid-calf as versatile as tall boots for myself, but as I've not found any tall pairs that fit me and my style over the past few years I am planning to purchase a third pair of mid-calf boots this season to extend the lives of my precious tall pairs.

I have one pair of regular leather mid calf boots. I find them a bit trickier to style, since I often wear my skirts just under my knee, so sometimes the proportions can get a bit wonky, compared to my ankle or knee high options. They're lace up granny style though, so I love them & just work around that!

I prefer a taller ankle book (about 2-3" above ankle) to a mid-calf boot. I find the height more versatile and easier to wear. Also mid-calf can hit at a bad spot for many people so you would have to make sure that the look worked for you.

I have have been "off" my tall boots lately and really liked the idea of mid calf. I had one pair of Fryes but returned them (also had a defect) thinking they were too chunky or masculine. I do have another pair of black mid calf and I only like them with skinnies or pointe pants. I have several pair of ankle boots and still like those the best right now. I did replace my tall cognac boots last year with a pair of Fryes and we will see how much I wear those this year.

I love mid calf boots and have a bunch. I generally prefer a slouchier or chunkier fit with mid calf boots and a sleeker, closer fit for tall boots. I wear the mid calfs over skinnies as well as with skirts and dresses. I prefer them to tall boots with skirts because I like the shape of some leg.

Do you have mid calf boots, not snow boots, just leather boots? I have tall cognac boots bought last year, and an older pair of black ones. I was going to replace my tall black ones this year, but they have more wear in them and are quite comfortable. Since I have a heel lifting problem with boots, when I find ones that stay put I get them. Heel inserts do not work for this problem. Now I have been looking on pinterest, etc. and am finding that I am liking shorter boots,, I have ankle booties in cognac and black, and a pair of wedge booties that I will wear. Mid calf will be a new look for me. If you have them or do you tstyle them the same as the knee high ones?
