And it's definitely an aesthetic that I can see working for you, Deborah.</p> <p>Just to muddy the waters further, there are also Eileen Fisher outlet stores - I've got one near me, and although I don't stop in often it seems to focus on the basics for the most part. Not sure if they would carry something like those harem pants, or whether that would be something you'd have to get at full price. (I'll certainly look the next time I have the opportunity, if you want.) Several department stores, like Macy's and Nordstrom, carry EF so that might be the best possibility to get something at a discount. Her aesthetic of drapey or boxy fit, primarily in solid colors, in high quality fabrics, appeals to me. Like IK, I'm sized out of much of it and in my case, most of the tops don't give me enough structure and too much drape for my frame. Sizing is very generous. EF is carried by a number of major retailers so it is worth shopping around. Her sizing is quite generous. I find I can only wear a XS or PS, 0, or 2. My more bounteous friends swear by her for comfortable, easy fits. Her pieces wash well, travel well, and are soft and well made.
