I'm 5' 9" and long limbed. The look of a rolled up sleeve suits my style, but this Find from Nili Lotan has an exquisitely long sleeve. The C&C California find is out of stock, but that cut also was nice and long on me. Paige Denim falls generously to the wristbone.

You've mentioned several of the places I'd recommend - BR, J Crew, and J Jill all sell talls online, although their selection of shirts may vary over the seasons. Ann Taylor would also be a good option to try, and Eddie Bauer - both do talls online, and anything can be returned to the store. Maybe Talbots? I know they do tall pants but I don't recall if they offer shirts in tall.

I second JCrew. I'm 5'10" and their tall size shirts and blazers are great for me

Hi CPJC,

Welcome to the forum!
I've had great luck with the more casual shirts from J.Crew. Many of them come in tall (they can be really long, mind you). I'm 5'9, and their regular shirts are definitely long enough on the arms for me. But perhaps you could compare the tall and regular size to see which would fit you best?

E.g. i really like their linen shirts for Summer (scroll down a bit to "Casual shirts".
https://www.jcrew.com/be/women.....ndtops.jsp

I also bought some great shirts and tunic shirts from Ann Taylor last Fall.

A regular reader but first time poster asking for help on buying shirts!

I'm looking for a quality button down shirt with longer sleeves - but more casual and not business button downs.

I think I should be buying tall shirts because shirt sleeves are always too short on me and I end up rolling them up to hide the fact that they are too short. I'm 5'7 so I'm not technically tall - but I think I have a longish torso, broader shoulders and longer arms.

I've been looking online and the tall selection is limited so I'm hoping folks will have suggestions for places I haven't looked:

Lands End - carries tall - but the reviews seem a little all over the place
J.Jill - I just bought a nice tall chambray shirt in small - it seems promising
Banana Republic - carries tall but I was hoping for a more casual shirt fabric than their sateen - they don't offer tall in their more casual shirts.

Or do I just start buying 3/4 sleeve shirts and give up??!?!?!

Thanks!
